1/4. Chronic subdural hematoma of the posterior fossa associated with cerebellar hemorrhage: report of rare disease with MRI findings.

Chronic subdural hematoma of the posterior fossa is an uncommon entity, and spontaneous lesions are very rarely described, occurring mostly during anticoagulation therapy. The association of the posterior fossa chronic subdural hematoma with spontaneous parenchymal hemorrhage without anticoagulation therapy was never related in the literature, to our knowledge. We describe a case of a 64 year-old woman who suffered a spontaneous cerebellar hemorrhage, treated conservatively, and presented 1 month later with a chronic subdural posterior fossa hematoma.

2/4. Cerebellar tuberculoma: a rare disease in an industrialized country.

A nine-year-old Somalian boy was treated in denmark for a posterior fossa tumor, which proved to be a tuberculoma. This disease is virtually unknown in our highly industrialized country, which emphasizes the fact that due to increased international traveling, knowledge of endemic diseases in other parts of the world is necessary. The treatment of tuberculoma and their diagnostic features are reviewed.

3/4. Primary amebic meningoencephalitis with cerebral and cerebellar abscesses: case report.

A case of fatal primary amebic meningoencephalitis is reported. We need to remind ourselves that, if the usual laboratory tests fail to show any microbial or fungal agents either in the CSF or in fluids or tissues obtained at operation, it is imperative that a warm wet slide preparation be made. Primary amebic meningoencephalitis is a very rare disease, and it is only by prompt recognition of the amebae that we can make an early diagnosis and institute the appropriate therapy.

4/4. tuberous sclerosis: unusual associations in four cases.

tuberous sclerosis is a rare disease with classic primary or secondary changes affecting mainly the cerebrum, skin, kidneys, and heart. Such lesions are generally hamartomatous and thus display malignant features only in rare cases. This paper describes four cases of tuberous sclerosis which were unique in their association with certain unusual congenital, metabolic, and tumorous conditions.
