1/5. Primary lymphedema of the penis: surgical correction by preputial unfurling.

Primary lymphedema of the penis (PLP) is a rare disease. We report a case in a 2-year-old, uncircumcised boy where the uninvolved inner preputial skin was unfurled to cover the penile shaft. The uninvolved inner preputial skin is often elongated, and provides a suture-free cover of sufficient length for the small penile shaft of pediatric patients.

2/5. Nodular cutaneous amyloidosis involving the glan penis: report of a case.

Nodular cutaneous amyloidosis is a rare disease that predominantly affects women in their sixth and seventh decades. The genital organ is the rarest cutaneous location with only four reported cases of vulvar involvement. We report the first known case of this entity involving the glan penis. The clinical feature of nodular cutaneous amylodosis, the histopathology, the pathogenesis and the therapy are discussed.

4/5. Fournier's gangrene of the penis: a report of two cases.

Fournier's gangrene is a rare disease involving the scrotum and penis with occasional extension up the abdominal wall. Both of our cases were unusual in that only the penis was involved. In addition, the occurrence of squamous cell carcinoma in an area previously affected by Fournier's gangrene has never been reported. The usual organism is an anaerobic streptococcus synergistic with some second organism. Early therapy is key, including debridement of the entire shaft of the penis distal to the devastated area, intravenous broad-spectrum antibiotics, and skin grafting.

5/5. Idiopathic partial thrombosis of the corpus cavernosum.

A case of spontaneous, partial, unilateral thrombosis of the corpus cavernosum is described. A 35-year-old white male presented with a painful mass in the perineum without priapism. Diagnostic evaluation with sonography and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a thrombosis in the left posterior corporal body. Treatment consisted of intravenous heparin followed by prophylactic acetylsalicylic acid. The thrombosis resolved spontaneously over several months without sequelae. Conservative management of this rare disease appears to be possible and safe.
