An unusual case of symptomatic hypoglycaemia in a child.An unusual case of pre-operative, symptomatic hypoglycaemia in an otherwise fit, well developed 6-year-old boy is reported, and highlights the unpredictable effect of pre-operative starvation on children admitted on the day of surgery.
