1/8. Ultrasonographic diagnosis of uterine artery pseudoaneurysm after hysterectomy.

The development of an arterial pseudoaneurysm is a rare but reported complication of pelvic surgery. Typically the lesion is discovered because the patient has symptoms related to delayed rupture of the pseudoaneurysm, causing hemorrhage. We report a case in which an uterine artery pseudoaneurysm was detected 14 days after vaginal hysterectomy by TVUS, which was performed prior to a transvaginal drainage procedure to treat an infected pelvic hematoma.

2/8. uterine artery pseudo-aneurysm: diagnosis and therapy during pregnancy.

Arterial aneurysms and pseudo-aneurysms are a rare but recognized cause of obstetric hemorrhage. diagnosis during pregnancy, prior to rupture, is exceptional. We report the first case of diagnosis and treatment of an uterine artery pseudo-aneurysm during pregnancy.

3/8. uterine artery aneurysm mimicking pelvic sarcoma. A case report and review of literature. [email protected].

We report a case of true uterine artery aneurysm in a 77-year-old diabetic woman, which was suspected radiologically as a pelvic sarcoma. The aneurysm was communicating with the atherosclerotic left uterine artery. Pelvic aneurysms carry the potential risk of massive intra-operative hemorrhage if the diagnosis was not established prior to operation.

4/8. A case of uterine artery pseudoaneurysms.

uterine artery pseudoaneurysms is a rare cause of haemorrhage but is potentially life-threatening and can occur after common gynaecological operations such as a Caesarean section or a hysterectomy. A 33-year-old woman who developed secondary postpartum haemorrhage after a Caesarean section was diagnosed to have uterine artery pseudoaneurysms on ultrasound scan. She was treated with bilateral uterine artery embolisation via selective catherisation of uterine arteries. Good outcome with the aneurysms remaining obliterated was obtained. Angiographic embolisation is a safe and effective method of treating postpartum haemorrhage in haemodynamically stable patients and should be an option before resorting to surgery in appropriately selected cases.

5/8. Endovascular management of postpartum massive vaginal bleeding. A case presenting with a pseudoaneurysm following subtotal hysterectomy.

In the management of massive vaginal bleeding resulting from obstetrics and gynecological diseases, the percutaneous endovascular embolization procedures have been widely used in recent years. We report a case of massive vaginal hemorrhage due to arterial pseudoaneurysm formation following postpartum subtotal hysterectomy which was successfully treated via the percutaneous endovascular embolization.

8/8. Conservative treatment of uterine arteriovenous fistula.

A case of a uterine arteriovenous aneurysm in a 20-year-old woman is described. The patients's main symptom was copious uterine bleeding. The diagnostic difficulties are described and the importance of arteriography is emphasized. The aneurysm was occluded at laparotomy by introducing gel-foam into the uterine artery. The patient subsequently became pregnant and after an uneventful pregnancy was delivered of a healthy child. Thus, this type of conservative treatment seems to offer a possible means of avoiding hysterectomy in young patients with this rare condition who wish to retain their fertility.
