2.Hepattistis B test
3.Blood grouping. To prevent yellow babies
4.Test for tuberculosis

I completely agree with you. I think all these test should be made compulsory. Awareness should be created among the public regarding these issues. All people who perform on the set of a Porn gets tested all the time. Even if your the fluff girl back stage you have to get regular test. Also they use condoms! Does not mean its 100% safe and there has been people who got an std or pregnany. It comes with the job a chance there willing to take.

I would like to know people's personal perspective of the hiv/ aids epidemic.
It's horrible. What else is there to say about it? It just awful and I'm sorry that anyone has to get this disease. It's not fair.

And for anyone who doesn't think they are affected by it, don't be so sure. My friend contracted HIV and died of pneumonia. I'm just a working class, married, woman, librarian, and mother. I thought I would never be directly affected by HIV either. I was wrong.  (+ info)

To be honest I think it is a government conspiracy saying you cant get aids from mosquitoes. You can get other viruses like West Nile from them so why not aids? I think the government keeps it quite because they do not want to have a public panic on their hands.
You absolutely can NOT get HIV from a mosquito. HIV is a very fragile virus, meaning it "dies" upon contact with air, alcohol, bleach, heat, etc. Mosquitoes have enzymes in their digestive track that immediately break down the components of HIV. Furthermore, when a mosquito bites you it does not inject you with another person's blood. It injects you with mosquito saliva. Even in the rare chance that there is a small amount of an infected person's blood on the mosquito mouth bits, the amount of virus in that bit of blood would be a very very very small amount, AND it would die upon contact with air. There have been numerous scientific studies to prove this because it was a concern in places like Sub-Saharan Africa where there are large populations of HIV+ people and lots of mosquitoes. Maybe something that was accidentally discovered when trying to work on a cure itself, or maybe just a part of the human body that is now better understood as a result of AIDS research. Its hard to just point out one particular case because so many research protocols, are ongoing by different places worldwide. Some of the more notable discoveries is finding the on-off switch if you will for the virus, genetic engineering by injecting special engineered cells back in to the blood to fight kill the virus. Special proteins that works against the virus. They have found that HIV can hide in the gut reservoir and lymph nodes. There is a link below to more studies.  (+ info)

Is it possibly to get aids by swimming in a contaminated pool?

Suppose someone with aids was bleeding in the pool and others were swimming with open cuts, swallowing water, or just urinating while swimming would it be possible for all those people to be infected?

Is it really possible to close a pool... due to aids?
You would think that by now people would be more informed and educated to consider a question of this sort. Your system of education has completely failed you and you should apply for a refund of any taxes that were paid toward your education.

But you can't even hide behind a failed education system anymore because theWeb has so much information on HIV and AIDS. And it's free.
