I am breaking out on my face. There are red lumpy eruptions on my face.?

They are filled with liquid, no pus. They are not like a pimple or a blackhead, but they hurt and look awful. Once one finally goes away, another occurs. Mostly on my chin, but there was one on my forehead. Any ideas?

They could be bug bites, or maybe they're just pimples and you don't recognize them.  (+ info)

Why does my face continue to break out in non-acne eruptions filled with clear to brownish liquid?

Began 15+ months ago. Mostly concentrated on chin and corners of my mouth... but... sometimes along jowel lines, sides and bridge of nose.

Not acne. Eruptions can almost be described as "pillows" of very thin skin filled with clear to brownish liquid. Drain them and they refill and refill and refill. A bit less each time and eventually (can be weeks) go away... ONLY to be replaced by another eruption elsewhere. Almost always 2-3 "pillows" at same time.

MD said may be staph infection, perhaps from a cut using my electric shazer. Said electric shavers rife with staph, etc. Suggested I use hand razor. Put me on doxycyclene for 3 months. Complexion definitely better on doxy but STILL never entirely clear. MD suggested I clean shaver head with chlorine. Did. MD said use hand razor. Did (well, chin area only). Help? Maybe.

Know someone with like problem who told me her "eruptions" due to artificial sweetener (Equal, etc) buildup in her body.

HELP!!!! Any ideas?

You need to go to a good dermatologist or an allegorist and determine what you're allegoric to . It could be artificial sweetener but you need to be checked to know for sure.  (+ info)

home made ways to remove red eruptions on face?

A lot of people are going to say toothpaste; ignore them. It may dry out a pimple a tiny bit, but it certainly does not help redness and could exacerbate irritation.

A gentle, effective homemade remedy I like is cornstarch and water. Simply mix the two together until it is a thick batter consistency and place on blemishes. The cornstarch will dry out the pimple faster, more gently, and more effectively than toothpaste.

To get rid of redness, try Visine--the ingredient that gets the red out of your eyes also gets the red out of zits. If you don't have any, you could try a cold compress--this will also help the swelling of the blemish go down.

Good luck!  (+ info)

...there any product or treatment that can reduce the scarring of the skin, from old [maybe years previous] episodes of acne?
----------

There are things you can do, depending on the types of scars, raised, ice-pick or depressed fibrotic. But they are not over-the-counter. You should be talking with a dermatologist. There are things such as lasers, dermabrasion, chemical peels
and more.

is microdermabrasion suitable for very sensitive skin prone to eruptions?

Hi,
It all depends on what type of microderma you choose. Professional (in office) microdermabrasion is safer for sensitive skin because the exfoliating agent is a flow of crystals that cannot irritate the skin. If you chose a home kit, the creams and other products in the kit may contain ingredients that can cause a sensitive complexion to break out.
There are special sensitive microdermabrasion kits available and some of them work well.
Hope this helps.  (+ info)

How do I stop pimple eruption without using this expensive cream?

I know that having pimples is a part of puberty. A lot of my classmates have it too. But mine was just too much. Anyway, my mom got me to try this ointment and it worked! I got fewer pimples than ever before. But it was just too expensive. Got any alternatives?

Before you go to bed, dap toothpaste on your zits. That works. The white toothpaste you get from the dollar store works good.  (+ info)

Is there a solution to Polymorphous light eruption?

I have Polymorphous light eruption sun allergy, and i've been taking tenovate. My allergy keeps coming back in spring and summer. The creams and sun lotions are only subsiding. Is there a solution to get rid of this allergy permenatly?
----------

Spring and summer are the prime times for this to occur. According to the Mayo Clinic gradually increasing sun exposure times in the spring and avoiding intense sun exposure year round is the best way to treat and prevent polymorphous light eruption. Generally it goes away within 7 to 10 days if you stay out of the sun. If it starts in the spring, each exposure should decrease your light sensitivity so that the eruptions typically stop by the end of the summer. The inflammation may return the following spring, however, after new exposures to sunlight. Happens to me every year. I live in a sunny locale year-around, but the sun is not so strong in the winter and I go through it every spring.
Dr. Schienfeld wrote an interesting article about this last May. I will send you a link  (+ info)

My neighbor and I were working outside and we have bites all over our bodies. What did this?

My neighbor and I have what appears to be bites all over our bodies including under our clothes. I just assumed they were mosquito bites, though I've never been bitten under my clothes. She said these are not mosquito bites and thinks they could be chiggers but we don't know if chiggers live in Colorado. Both of us were cleaning up our landscaping. It's probably not poison ivy because we have numerous single dot skin eruptions. Is there anyway to protect myself?
----------

sounds like chiggers to me. I get the same thing. We set outside every saturday night and i always get eat up by something. My husband told me that they were chiggers.  (+ info)
