What causes clear cell; adenocarcinoma?

I LEARNED I HAVE CLEAR CELL ADENOCARCINOMA IN MY VAGINA,AFTER HAVING A COMPLETE HYSTERECTOMY IN 2002 I WAS IN SHOCK! IT IS RARE AND I SEE MOST OF THE WOMEN WHO GET IT ARE YOUNGER THAN ME AND THAT MOTHER OF THESE GIRLS HAD TAKEN A DRUG CALLED DES TO PREVENT MISCARRIAGES FROM 1940-1970. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.I SEE A SPECIALIST 10/10/07 BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE.
----------

Are you a daughter of a mother who took DES? There is so much information about DES victims world-wide.

and there more on the net.

If your mom did not take it, why are you asking? Why does your carcinoma rarity bother you? I would really like to help (I am a woman).  (+ info)

My mother-in-law has just been diagnosed with a 1.2cm adenocarcinoma of the left breast?

Does this sound like its in the early stages or in the late stages
----------

According to NCI guidelines, staging needs the size of the tumor, metastasis in regional lymph nodes, and distant metastasis.
Since you only provided the primary tumor size, I can only give a broad idea. At 1.2 cm, I know that it is a T1c tumor. If there is no metastasis anywhere, this is Stage One breast cancer. If she has metastasis in the lymph nodes, she could be Stage IIA to III depending how sever. And if she has distant metastasis, that is automatically Stage IV (the most advanced). Take care now and if you'd like to know more, go ahead and e-mail me.  (+ info)

Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the Esophagus any herbs or treatments for this type of cancer?

One thing that could help would be to either get extra pillows to raise your your head and upper extremities while you are sleeping to reduce pressure on your esophageal sphincter.

I would also try a little raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar in some a glass of distilled water three times a day to give my gut good flora.

You may have an ulcer created by bacterium H. pylori.
In combination to one's needs cayenne, mastic, and apple cider vinegar would help eradicate H. Pylori.

The apple cider vinegar would help with balancing the acid levels in the stomach giving your body the best chance to eliminate the Hy Pylori while cayenne and mastic will help neutralize and eliminate the bacterium naturally.

I would also look at taking tiny amounts of wild oregano oil in carrot juice and or cranberry juice every morning. Start with a drop an increase with tolerance.

I have a hunch that oil swishing with sunflower seed oil could help.

I would also look at the water cure and switch from table salt to unrefined sea salt.

Cabbage juice is great for a stomach ulcer but the taste is vey strong. I would go half anf half with cabbage juice and carrot juice(which is also good for ulcers) and add a dash of cinnamon for taste. Take a small glass two or three times a day.

Raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar with a dash of cinnamon and cayenne will also be a miracle for stomach ulcers. Cayenne, although it is counter-intuitive, is wonderful for stomach ulcers.

H. pylori bacteria is the bacteria that causes ulcers.
Broccoli sprouts kill helicobacter pylori
http://curezone.com/art/read.asp?id=61&d...

A tiny amount of oregano oil in a shot glass of cranberry juice with a dash of cinnamon can knock out the H. pylori with several doses over a few days..

Cabbage Juice & Carrot juice combined could help.

Juiced Broccoli could help.

Find what works for you but stick with whatever is working. Herbal treatments are not drugs. It is a lifestyle change that takes a whole(holistic) way of looking at treatment. Yo can't just go on eating wrong and expect results. Let your food and water heal your cancer.  (+ info)

What does anyone know about adrenal adenocarcinoma? Tennis ball sized tumor, they say "doesn't look good".

Husband just diagnosed after two months of narrowing symptoms down (sudden extreme high blood pressure, developed diabetes, sudden 50 lb weight gain, walking with a cane, breathing and talking at same time an issue (sounds like he ran a marathon)) with Cushing's. CT x 1 week ago shows tennis ball sized carcinoma on adrenal gland, kidney. Other is OK. Also located small lump posteriorly in one lung. Surgery in 4 days, prognosis "grave" (hate that word, "grave"). Most adenocarcinoma info I find is talking about lung but that is not the concern right now. Looking at surgery (got good surgeon) and good hospital, chemotherapy and "possibly an experimental thing"?? Going to take tumor, possibly kidney and some lymph glands (nodes?) and they say "we'll see when we get in there".
----------

I am so sorry you and your husband are going through this right now. The best thing for you to do is to write down any questions you may have and ask the doctor. Be as direct as you can so that maybe you get a just as direct answer.

I am not a doctor nor do I know much about medical things other than colds, flu's, asthma and high blood pressure. These things my own family deals with. Sooo, I had to do some extensive researching myself. I just want you to know that this is just my understanding, my perspective. I've also listed a few websites so that maybe you can read what I did and have a better understanding.

The first website talks about cancer of the adrenal gland. The last few talk about adenocarcinoma of the lungs. It sounds like the cancer of the adrenal glands has found it's way to the lungs.

Please talk to your doctor for any further information or questions you may have.

I wish you and your husband the best of luck.  (+ info)

"Well differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinoma" in uterus how much risky?

Another name for this is uterine cancer. If untreated it will kill. Make sure your loved one is getting the treatment necessary, support her in whatever decisions she makes, be there for her is she needs to cry, help her find a support group so she can be with others who have been or are in her situation. It could be worse other cancers are more invasive, or spread more quickly but any carcinoma is risky.  (+ info)

If doctors can't figure out where an adenocarcinoma starts, how can they treat it successfully?

They need to do a biopsy of the cancer. In general a pathologist or usually two or three will look under a microscope to try and identify what type of cell is cancerous and where in the body that cell originated from (if they see breast cells they will know the cancer came from that location) Sometimes it is very difficult to identify advanced cancer cells because they are so mishapen that they no longer resemble the original normal cell. This is known as an Unknown Primary:

http://www.thedoctorsdoctor.com/diseases/metastastic_malignancy_unknown_primary.htm

NCI: Unknown Primary
http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/pdq/treatment/unknownprimary/HealthProfessional

It is best to be persistent and ask for a definitive diagnosis if at all possible. Even if it means sending the biopsy to more than one pathologist. If that is impossible than an oncologist uses all his experience and skill to come up with a treatment plan based on what they know about where in the body the cancer was found.  (+ info)

Adenocarcinoma of the stomach. Why eating speeds up the cancer?

My friend's grandmother who is 91 was diagnosed with this cancer and was told that if she eats the cancer will progress faster. How does one survive without eating aside from IV feeding? Need help understand this type of cancer but not sure which online resources are helpful. Thanks for your answers again.

Below is the diagnoses and I cannot decipher the information line by line so hopefully someone can help me understand this so I can email this back to my friend.

Her DIAGNOSIS:

A. Stomach, Antrum Biopsy
1. Antral Mucosa w/Intestinal Metaplasia; Negative for Dysplasia or malignancy
2. Alcian Yellow stain negative for H.Pylori

When told you have invasive adenocarcinoma, moderately differentiated arising in tubular adenoma extending to?

involve the cautery after having had a polypectomy , exactly what key words am I looking for to see if this thing has metastasized, and which organs it might potentially have migrated to? and why would the diagnostic report read 2 icd codes, ie 153.9 malig neop colon unspec and 211.3 benign neoplasm of colon. Is it just me or is the medical industry so rusheed that they are not able to answer questions like this????
Panda, sure hope you get this one,
Thanks to all
----------

From what you wrote it's impossible to say if the tumor has metastasized. It only says you had a benignant polyp (tubular adenoma) which went malignant. From my experience as pathologist, colonic polyps are going malignant pretty often. Moderately differentiated means the tumor is not very aggressive like a low differentiated one.
For metastasis, you will have to undergo an CT scan or MRI looking for lymph nodes involvement and possible metastasis in liver, lung, peritoneum.
The diagnose is reported with 2 codes because you have in the same time a benign tumor (tubular adenoma) and a malignant one (adenocarcinoma).
Good luck  (+ info)

please anyone with information on mucinous adenocarcinoma cancer...?

My grandmother has mucinous adenocarcinoma of a unknown primary site. The doctors aren't running any tests and say she won't make it through the night.. anyone with any information please tell me what I can/should do?
----------

Sorry to hear about your grandmother's condition. Apparently her cancer has spread to multiple areas inside her. There are a lot of times, with cancer, that Drs. try to weigh the risk vs. benefit of further treatment to provide whatever further "quality of life" they can give the patient. Sometimes the cancer, in this case a very difficult and aggressive type of cell, is impossible to remove when it is attached to vital organs which if removed would cause death. Other times the result of removing the cancer leaves the patient much more dependent on others and can infringe on their privacy and modesty (such as that associated with colostomy or urostomy surgery). If her time is short, just comfort her and know she will be without pain soon and tell her you love her. She will be calm and quiet when it is her time. No one really knows exactly when one's time is up, but the Drs. will have a fairly accurate idea. Make sure you say loving things around her as she will still be able to hear conversations when she appears asleep. She is very lucky to have a granddaughter who cares.  (+ info)
