earlier this morning as i was picking up my dog, she yelped in pain and i saw a big load of fluid release onto my sheets. alot of blood and a grey tinted liquid was on the sheet. my mom works with dogs, she's not a vet but she grooms dogs. my mother believes one of her anal glands bursted. my mom gave a her a bath so she could see that area clearer. we discovered a hole in the skin about the size of a dime, give or take. we don't have the funds to take her to the vet. do you have any suggestions to help heal her naturally from home? what are the risks if i do so? what would a vet do? give me your opinion.. thanks in advance, this means so much to me.

Oh no! That's terrible! I feel so bad for her, the poor thing. It's really unfortunate you can't get to the vet, but my advice is to try and make it as soon as possible, because there could be something else behind it. Changing brands or flavors can cause problems.

Add a tablespoon of canned pumpkin with each feeding.
Make sure its not pumpkin pie filling which has artificial flavoring.
The pumpkin is a source of fiber an will work to bulk up the stool.
