I want to dye my hair black with blonde streaks?

I dyed my hair like really dark brown twice before, but it started to fade. Im planning on dying my hair black and put blonde streaks in it not like highlights, like random streaks of blonde. So my hairs dark brown now, but Ive dyed it twice. Would this damage my hair?
----------

yes because of the use of harsh chemicals and processing..
imagine, the chemicals are pretti much being abosrbed into the hairshafts in order to change colour
this especially wudnt be good for ur hair since u have dyed it on more then one previous occasion
ur also gonna dye ur hair not once but twice so thats double the damage
maybe when ur hair is stonger and healthier it MITE be able to stand up to chemicals but be careful

good luck and hope this helped  (+ info)

Whats a good hair dye for streaks that will come out eventually?

I have dirty blonde hair & I want to put in some teal streaks. I don't know much about hair dye but I guess I am looking for a semi-permanent one.If I use a dye for a few streaks will the hair that's colored ever go back to my normal color? I don't want these streaks forever, I just want to experiment for maybe a few weeks.
----------

I'm glad you admitted that you "don't know much about hair dye" because your question is so ridiculous as not to even be funny. And I'm not being mean. There are a lot of things really wrong with your question, and you need to study up on it first to be able to understand what you are talking about. May I suggest going here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_coloring and study more about colouring. Take a community college course on basic colouring.

Dye is only for making fabric and leather darker, never lighter, and is almost never ever used on hair. Dye never comes out, when done properly. You can't easily use dye on hair because you need intense heat, which is impossible to do on hair.

I don't know what you mean by streaks, but it seems you want to add a few strands in another colour. The only way that is going to work is that you need to bleach out (remove all colour) from those hairs in the strand you have selected, and then you can add the false or artificial colours. Because of the nature of how dyes work, you can't do that. You only can use a stain -- which is NOT the same thing. A semi-permanent colour is a stain. The difference is that one only stains the outside of the hair, and will slowly wash away, but never completely.

But you need to understand that the bleached hairs are there forever, until you cut it off. You cannot have "temporary" bleaching! The stain will leave a faint colour forever, and look washed out. That is why you need to get them redone fairly often, depending on how often you wash your hair. If you are one of those that does it every day, you will find it won't last long.

The best thing you can do now for temporary streaks is to get some of those clip-on coloured strands. You can add them where and as much as you want, in any colour. Because you can take them out when you want, then you won't have to "ruin" your hair with the bleaching, won't have to wait for it to grow out, and you never get fading with them, and can change colours as you wish. You can't do that with "dyed streaks".

As always, you need to have a consultation with a qualified professional hair colourist before doing anything. This is normally at no charge in most salons. They will do a proper analysis of your hair and tell you what needs to be done and how, and how to look after it as well. They can tell you how to get rid if it should you change your mind. You need all the facts before doing something that is going to be permanent. But the good news is that hair is always growing, and if you make a mistake, just shave it off and start all over.  (+ info)

How do I hide my blue streaks from the teachers, but let it show to everyone else?

I want to get blue streaks in my hair, but it's a violation on the school rules. How do I hide it from my teachers, but show it off to my friends?
----------

Pin it up with bobby pins and then hide that with a thick headband
-Or you could go to regis in the mall, get some extension either the same color as your hair or the blue you want and put them in when your not at school so you have the blue you want or put in the natural color over the blue so the teachers cannot see  (+ info)

How do I dye my hair unnatural color with streaks?

I want to dye my hair purple with pink streaks, and no I will not go to a salon, because I already bought the dye and I need it done by tomorrow. I heard that there was some way to do it with foil or something, but can someone explain that to me? Are you supposed to dye the streaks, wrap them in foil, then dye the rest of your hair, or what?
----------

Well, first thing is first, AFTER you die your hair, you can't use shampoo more then twice a week, or your streaks will start to blur in with the rest of your color. AND the more sun your hair gets, the longer the color last!  (+ info)

How do I get rid of streaks from indoor tanning?

I tan indoor so I won't be so terribly white this summer, however, everytime I do indoor tanning I have white streaks on my butt and back and on my right side? I don't know why this is because I don't lay a certain way or move around too much so this confuses me...So whats a way to prevent this without using a spray or bronzer? Anything would be of help!
----------

Flip over in between tanning. Even try to get 5 minutes in your sides each. Try another tanning place too. The one you're at may have older beds and the newer beds somewhere else may be better for a fuller tan.  (+ info)
