I have found 2 tiny spots of what looks like faint color of blood when i wipe my anus last night. But this did not happen before or after the bowel movements. My bowel movements have been really soft (but not up to the diarrohea point) since i increased my fiber intake about a yr or 2 ago. What do these blood spots indicate? You are right:do not use Nair:it stings like hell and can irritate your skin for weeks.
Best is to shave it with a disposable razor:that's what I do:but put some moisturizer on the parts you shaved :otherwise it will itch like hell

Yes, since the anus is essentially a muscle, you can strain it. Have you checked for any bleeding because anal fissures are a more likely cause of pain. It is basically a small tear from straining.
