Do I need jaw surgery?

I went to a TMJ specialist, and he did some measurements, x-ray, and a ultrasound on my jaw and tmj. He told me I had the following things: major anomalies of jaw size, tmj adhesions and ankylosis, arthralgia of tmj, articular disk disorder, osteoarthrosis, muscle spasms, myalgia and myositis. The main problem is the jaw asymmetry, because its what's causing all the pain. Will I need surgery because of the jaw anomalies? He put me on steriods and muscle relaxers in the mean time, until he figures out what to do.
