will a chiropractor help with my fibromyalgia and reactive arthritis?

i got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and reactive arthritus yesterday. any help or advice from others effected by both these things greatly appreciated, thanks!
----------

I have fibromyalgia, and found that osteopaths and chiropractors didn't help. Other than my usual medication, (check out Fibromyalgia association website for a lot of helpful info) I have a regular holistic massage. Some people find acupuncture helps, but I didn't, found it far too painful.
You have my sympathy, especially as a lot of people not only won't have heard of fibromyalgia, but won't understand how much it affects your daily life.  (+ info)

Can anyone tell me more about Reiter's syndrom or better known as Reactive Arthritis?

I went to the doctor yesterday to get my MRI results. My back looks fine except that where my spine meets my hips there is a lot of inflammation. My doctor feels that it may be Reiter's syndrom or more commonly known as Reactive Arthritis. Can anyone tell me how this condition has effect their lives? Is this something curable or just treatable? I had to do a bunch of blood work to look for certain things such as the HLR-B27 inhibitor which may or may not confirm that I have this illness. I am concern about what will happen to me. I have suffered from back pain for several years and at times I am unable to do simple things such as bending and such. Walking is even sometimes a difficulty. Can anyone help enlighten me on what to expect with this illness and also the course of treatment?
I am also wondering what else could have caused me to possibly have this illness since I have no history of urinary tract infections that are repetive, no sexually transmitted diseases and I have had no known gastro infections.

I had an severe attack of reactive arthritis 2 years back. Now the tests show that internally everything is fine. I have recovered for all the joint pains and swelling there is still a stiffness in the back of my Neck. I am able to move my neck properly.

My worry is that how long is going to take to recover. Please suggest some treatment.

We can not give an exact time for any of these things.. For some it may be in weeks, months or even years..!!

But not to worry unless its causing serious problems.. The recovery can be hastened by physiotherapy  (+ info)

----------

Reactive arthritis is an acute spondyloarthropathy that often seems precipitated by an infection, usually GU or GI. Common manifestations include asymmetric arthritis of variable severity that tends to affect the lower extremities, sausage-shaped deformities of fingers or toes or both, constitutional symptoms, enthesitis, tendinitis, and mucocutaneous ulcers, including hyperkeratotic or crusted vesicular lesions (keratoderma blennorrhagicum). Diagnosis is clinical. Treatment involves NSAIDs and sometimes sulfasalazine or immunosuppressants.  (+ info)
