I have phimosis leading to balanitis?

I have phimosis with lead to balanitis and am thinking about treating it with lotrimin. Is this a good idea before thinking about circumcision?

I took my son to the ER today an he has Balanitis ?

they told me that i should pull back his foreskin and clean it. But i was told by his doctor to never pull it back untill he gets older he is 9 months and i dont know what to do.....I dont want to hurt him the ER docter pulled it back and my son acked like he was in a lot of pain and I think there was a little blood ... can anyone tell me what I should do?

you need to get a refferal to a specialist. Take himto someone who specializes in that part. A uroligist (SP) I am almost certain they had a pediatric uroligist. That way they will tell you the best treatment for him. You can take him to a childrens hospital if it cant wait until monday. It always sucks to get 2 different stories from 2 different doctors and not know what to do. But in the end you will do what is best for your son. So my advise, get a nother opinion and call your pedi after hours and ask!!  (+ info)

What cream do i need to cure Balanitis?

I looked up and i know i have it
where can i get the cream
and can i get it with out a doctor
and what is it called
----------

Carmesha, Often a cream isn't necessary to take care of balanitis; use a non scented--non fragrant soap with warm water on a soft wash clthe. Retract your foreskin and wash gently several times a day. Be patient with this and don't scrub or rub too hard. This is a very conservative, non expensive, and effective way to cure a very common problem. Rinse with warm or cool water (not cold water) after each wash.  (+ info)

these are the medication i have been taking for my balanitis infection?

i am taking flagyl 400mg and curam 6125mg.......does anyone think that these medications can cause thrush?.......as i had said before, i had small bumps on my foreskin (are these associated with yeast?), and a discomfort in urination this morning.
----------

Any antibiotic can wipe out the good bacteria which keep thrush under control in a person susceptable to it. They dont actually cause the thrush but allow it to grow when the good bacteria are absent.
Get an antifungal such as Canestran and also talk to your doctor;  (+ info)

can you get balanitis on the shaft?

If so what are the symptoms and also treatments?
----------

Balanitis is an inflammation of the end of the penis (the glans). Often the foreskin is also inflamed at the same time as the glans. (The foreskin is the loose skin that covers the glans if you have not been circumcised.) Balanitis is common, and it can occur at any age.
Other causes may include:
* Dermatitis/allergy — Dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin, often caused by an irritating substance or a contact allergy. Sensitivity to chemicals in certain products—such as soaps, detergents, perfumes and spermicides—can cause an allergic reaction, including irritation, itching and a rash.
* Infection — Infection with the yeast candida albicans (thrush) can result in an itchy, spotty rash.
Treatment will depend on the cause.
# Thrush (candida): a milder form of balanitis is caused by an allergy to thrush in a woman's vagina.
# Psoriasis: this skin disease can occur on the penis without you having it anywhere else. On the glans it looks red and shiny, while elsewhere it is usually white and scaly.
# Irritation: balanitis can sometimes be caused by sensitivity to perfumes in soaps and detergents.
# Bacterial infection: streptococcal bacteria in a woman's vagina can be transmitted during sexual intercourse.
# Rough handling: strenuous sexual activity, particularly masturbation, can make the penis sore and prone to infection.
# Allergy: some men are allergic to rubber, spermicides, deodorants and topical medications (those applied to the skin).

The treatments refer to balanitis, so you need a proper diagnosis. See your doctor or if you would rather it was impersonal go tp a GUM clinic.  (+ info)

what do I have?, yeast?, herpes?....i had balanitis?

Ok, a couple months ago i was diagnosed with balanitis which is caused by yeast, that lasted for almost 2 weeks...and was gone completely. Now, about 2 months later to this day, i've had small to medium size water bumps on my elbow, that was about 4 days ago....this morning i woke up and saw a red pimple on my foreskin and another very small red spot that i coudnt have seen if i didnt look closely....can someone please help?
----------

it can be genital wart. herpes are more like fluid blisters bumping together. To make sure, visit your doctor and ask him. some of the bumps aren't visible unless the doctor checks with a very strong light. I had Genital herpes for 6 yrs. 3-4 yrs, i didn't know i have it. I visited to the doctor and she didn't check it by strong light. just by her eyes, she said no, it's not herpes. but it actually was herpes. i found out a year later that it was. so, sometimes, doctors even can't tell but you have to tell him what you feel and think and let him/her exam it for you carefully.  (+ info)
