twitching eye.... what's wrong?

my left eye does this thing where it twitches nonstop for like half an hour. this happens several times in a day. i tried to look it up on webmd, but for someodd reason, "twitching eyes" is not on the symptom checker. i heard about something called Blepharospasm, but i don't know much about it or how to tell if that's what's wrong. i have no health insurance, so i really want to avoid having to go to a doctor if at all possible. does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it? any information would be helpful. thanks

Well, a twitching eye can come from a variety of nervous causes really. Did you have a trauma? head concussion? Well, it can happen when you're tired, so you can get some rest. Try to put a cold compress on your eyelid for some time, that can release the tension. Otherwise, if it's persistent, you should see an optometrist because it could be more serious, your 5th cranial nerve could be damaged.  (+ info)

Botox injections and facial paralysis?

Hello, my fiance recently had Botox injections around her eye to treat a condition called blepharospasm, which causes the eye to twitch uncontrollably. Although the Botox helped a little, it also weakened her facial muscles and her smile is now not symmetrical. Might not be such a big deal other than we're getting married in a few days and she is beside herself that our wedding pictures will be always remembered for the obvious Botox effects. So here is what the current thoughts are..........she's considering getting Botox on the other side to make the effect symmetrical although this option scares me. I've also mentioned that we can adjust pictures angles to compensate, I've said just smile your heart out and it doesn't matter...although I'm not sure she's going to be comfortable with that. Bottom line, has anyone ever had facial weakness from Botox and found a way to compensate for the effects in pictures. Thank you, Larry

Yes Its called Photoshop! She could gain 30lbs,300lbs and look the "same" with photoshop. Unlike BOTOX which is a TOXIN Called: Botulinum toxin from botulism. Yunno the Deadly food poisoning. Yes, thats it- Photoshop can be reversed! Please Insist!
