Low blod sugar, can i control it?

Ok i have noticibly low blood sugar which are signs of diabetes. The problem is, i usually eat bad, overly sugared foods to bring it up and i think this can contribute to the problem. SO what is best to eat when my sugar is low without causing such a raise, thus leading to worse problems. AND what are ways to prevent my body from becoming a full blown diabetic??
I have low blood sugar, and always used it as an excuse to eat sugary foods. Problem is, when you eat high sugar ffods your body produces way too much insulin and drops you blood sugar again. If I feel my BS is low I eat a small sweet first to bring up the level then eat some fruit or something with carbs in it that's longer lasting. Also I think Chromium supplements help even out BS levels.  (+ info)

Frequently flying causing blod clots?

I heard somewhere that flight attendents have a high risk of blood clots because of the constatn pressure change. I was on 4 planes yesterday and my legs feel like they did when I was pregnant with #2 and needed shots in my thighs twice a day and wasn't allowed to walk for a week because of my high risk. Does anyone know anything about flying and blood clots? Any experience with it?
Yes there is increased risk of clotting in those who are prone to develop clots like old age or diabetics or hypertensives etc.

Thats why it is recommended to have sitting exercises inside the plane on your sit. It is written on the brochures also.  (+ info)

Can a Persons blod type change?

I found this shocking news when I've been tested for pregnancy issues. Im 26 yrs old Indian and now living in all these days I knew for sure that my blood type is O+ve. When I've been asked for blood test, I was shocked to know that my blood type is B+ve now. How come this can happen. I heard that it might differ due to the method that Labs use to find the blood type. Can somebody explain this in detail.

i found out that i had it the first time i got pg, but i didn't find out i was pg untill like a month later i just remeber feeling really sick and tiered.....well i think i might be pg but i only had unprtected sex like last night....but i'm a bit dizzy and light headed....it's not possible right to have these symptoms yet right???? i know that having that blood type take your baby as a forgin object a virus and attacks it to try to keep u healthy...so then due to that you get sick it feels like the flu...but does anyone know that if you have this blood type does cause syptoms this quick?
Wow- I am Rh negative, and you really need to look into Rh negativity more before you look at what's going on the way you are. Your body doesn't attack your baby, not in the way you are thinking. I am dissapointed that since you "found out last time you got pregnant..." (whatever that means) but didn't educate yourself on what's really going on. but negative as well?? i havnt had any major symptoms just my period..i would get my periods monthly but the day would be diffrent but it would be defenite i got a period every month now nothing?? if anybody can help me i can be more than thankful...
It definately doesn't sound like your pregnant. It would show up by now. There are many medical reasons why you may not get your period and you need to find out what is causing you to miss. Good luck.  (+ info)

i have a perforated ear drum which bleeds i have been told this is a blod clot, is this dangerous.?

i have dark patches on my brain which were the result of minor strokes, though my doctor told me not to worry, now i have a perforated ear drum with infection, my ear bleeds and the doctor told me i have a blood clot, though he was not very helpfull.
Is the blood clot dangerous and do i need to consult with another doctor for a second opinion.
You could get it checked out by ENT department who will be able to give a better diagnosis  (+ info)

I am upset that my podiatrist did not give me a blood thinner to prevent the blood clot from happening.
Yes you can get a blood clot from any kind of surgery... If your Dr. had given you a blood thinner at surgery time you would not have had to worry about a blood clot.... you could have bled to death....

Blood clots form when there is no movement in the affected area to help move the blood along in the veins. Did you follow your Drs. advise and do some exercises to keep the blood circulating and not allowing the blood to clot in the veins??  (+ info)
