That could definitely cause it. If it didn't cause it, it could certainly be making it worse. Maybe your mom could start smoking outside. Secondhand smoke is really bad for someone who has chronic bronchitis. If she won't do this for your health, maybe you can move out when you turn 18.  (+ info)

I know chronic asthmatic bronchitis is considered a disability.
But my doc says I have asthmatic bronchitis and that I will "be fine" as soon as we find the right medications that work for me!
He may mean that it is a temporary condition.
