HPV is just warts. they can be treated. The great majority of people out there have been exposed to it or have it. There are some issue with HPV. They are:

1. increased risk of cancer. you and her should both be thoroughly tested for the HPV to see exactly which types you have. Some of the strains cause cancers and you need to know how to deal with those possibilities, and testing and advice from a doctor will help.

2. HPV creates a higher risk for other types of STD's, so if either of you is involved with other relationships, it will significantly increase that risk.

3. If you and her are married and involved in a monogamous and committed relationship, the risk in #2 becomes almost nonexistent.

4. If you and her have been having sex, you are already exposed any way, so deal with it. HPV is passed by direct skin to skin contact, so just rubbing and petting can pass it too. It's not just having sex.

5. If you don't marry her, then you probably will date someone else and the odds are extremely high this will be an issue in the future anyway.

Toby Kieth says it best in one of his songs "It's not the one you can live with .... It's the one you can't live without ..." .

Best of luck and I hope this helps.  (+ info)

Medecine question?

What do you know about CONDYLOMATA ACCUMINATA ?
If you have condilomes can you earn cancer!!!
----------

Condylomata accuminata is the medical term for genital warts. This is the most common STD. It is characterized by raised, flesh colored lesions and sores in the genital and anal area. Treatment is not totally effective because there is no way to get rid of the virus. The warts themselves can be treated but not cured.

If you have visible warts (caused by HPV 6 and 11) , your chance of developing cancer is very, very slim. However, if you don't exhibit warts or were infected by HPV Types 16, 18, 31, 33 and 35, you are at a slight risk of developing cervical cancer.

STD as a navy disqualification?

I have read online from other yahoo answers that you can be disqualified for stds in the military. in late january i had unprotected(condom ripped) sex, i was tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia both tests came back negative, i am in the process of being tested for genital herpes and genital warts and all the others. i have already been to meps and am scheduled to leave for boot camp within the next 2 months. i do not know whether i have a std or not i am curious and want to know now whether or not i have anything.

so my question is, if i have genital warts or herpes am i automatically DQ'd???? off of the military website i found this
"(7) Penile infectious lesions, including herpes genitalis and condyloma acuminata, acute or chronic, not amenable to treatment. Such treatment must be given and demonstrated effective prior to accession. " i dont understand what that means????

the website also said Remember that most of these conditions are NOT necessarily permanently disqualifying, but they are red flags" so i what i am asking is if i have a STD(other than AIDS/HIV) am i DQ'd????

here is the website i found that from http://www.military.com/Recruiting/Content/0,13898,rec_step07_DQ_medical,,00.html
----------

it means that if you have an untreated STD ( are not currently taking medicine for it, or cannot show your medicine to the accessing doctor), then you will not be allowed in the military. But if you are taking a medicine for genital warts that you have, then you should be allowed in.  (+ info)

----------

You should try using all organic products. Things that have sulfates and alcohol is also bad for your hair. I use Biotin shampoo and conditioner by a brand called Jason. There's also a pretty good hemp shampoo and conditioner by them. You should try the olive oil hair care too. It works wonders, olive oil is one of the best things for your hair and skin.  (+ info)
