Is anemia causing my symptoms?

I have had cystinuria since I was ar. 11 (now 21).
I have been on Thiola and Urocit-k, after having 3 surgeries due to kidney stones.
Now, my doctor tells me I have low iron anemia, and low vitamin d levels. (puts me on vitamin d and poly iron forte.)
I have mod. to severe bone and muscles pains.
My neck and psine feel like they burn all the time. (This has been occurring for ar. 5 1/2 years now, and is getting worse.) Plus, I have been having pains beneath my belly button.
I have hypertension and my doctor asked that I be checked for Polycystic Kidney Disease.
Tests so far have been negative for PKD.
What could be causing my problems?

Any help will be highly appreciated!!!!

You probably have too much iron now. I become easily anemic as well. You should not be taking iron pills all the time. Instead take slow FE iron tablets once a week and eat foods high in iron and stuff that has iron in it. For example Wheat Thins have 6% iron where as some other brands like it don't I think triscuits also has iron in them. Here are some foods high in iron that you should start eating.
Salmon, Shrimp, Tuna, Oysters, Clams, and most kinds of seafood, Lima Beans, Kidney Beans, Navy Beans, Soy Beans, Chick Beans, Pinto Beans, Black Eye Beans, Almonds, Cashews, Walnuts, Sunflower Seeds, Sesame, Tahini, Apricots, Rasins, Dates - Prunes, Figs, Turkey, Chicken, Egg Yolks, Beef, Pork, Lamb (Pick red meats that are lean), Spinach, Asparagus, Broccoli, Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, Kale, Turnip Greens and Parsley
You also need to start eating things with vitamin D in it.
Fish and fish liver oils (especially cod liver oil),salmon, mackerel, herring, eel, tuna (canned in oil) and sardines, Milk is usually fortified with it, also egg yolks have some vitamin D.  (+ info)

Sounds like a cluster of symptoms that may occur when using a typical antipsychotic.
