Viral encephalitis is a disease that mainly affects the brain, causing acute inflammation. As the name implies, it's caused by a virus, such as Herpes Simplex virus (HSV).
Viral encephalitis can be due either to the direct effects of an acute infection, or as one of the sequelae of a latent infection.
U can read more about it here

What treatments are there for micro encephalitis disease?

any details about micro encephalitis
----------

Microencephalitis is the inflammation of the brain, which in infections usually involves the central nervous system. Encephalitis in general can be caused by bacterial infections that involve possible organisms such as Neisseria meningitidis (etiologic agent of epidemic spinal meningitis), Streptococcus penumoniae (etiologic agent of pneumonia, which can possibly cause encephalopathies as well), and Haemophilus influenzae (possible bacterial meningitis agent).

The microencephalitis disease is caused mainly by parasitic amoebae and protozoan organisms such as the pathogenic organisms under the genus Acanthamoeba and Naegleria fowleri. Infections in the central nervous system, if left untreated, reaches almost 100% mortality, since or CNS controls almost all of the important body functions which include motor skills and cognition. So far, an effective treatment for encephalopathic infections is administration of the antibiotic amphoterecin b, along with rifampicin.

Hope this helps!  (+ info)

how much does it cost to get treatment for Japanese encephalitis?

depends on the hospital, insurance, location in the country where you are being treated, decisions made by the medical staff, etc. It also depends on your clinical course. If you have to go to the ICU or have surgery, the costs can skyrocket.  (+ info)

what are the different body systems affected by japanese encephalitis?

Signs which develop during the acute encephalitic stage include neck rigidity, cachexia, hemiparesis, convulsions and a raised body temperature between 38 and 41 degrees Celsius. Mental retardation developed from this disease usually leads to coma. Mortality of this disease varies but is generally much higher in children. Life-long neurological defects such as deafness, emotional lability and hemiparesis may occur in those who have had central nervous system involvement.  (+ info)

Before i lost my job, i spent most of my day at work trying to compensate for my "forgetfullnes" i really am the sticky note queen! there is no way that i can work at the same levels as before my illness and it is very frustrating. depression is always with me as well as the feeling of hopelessness more than i would like to admit
----------

Encephalitis is a condition where the brain becomes inflamed due to a virus or other types of infections. One kind of virus that can cause encephalitis is herpes simplex type I. Although herpes simplex type I most often causes mild symptoms like fever blisters, it can occasionally travel to the brain and cause encephalitis.

Herpes simplex I is a very common virus that causes small blisters or "cold sores" on the lips, inside the nose, in the eye, or on the eyelid. Occasionally, it is possible for the virus to move to the brain. The virus can move from the nasal cavity up into the sinuses, and then into the brain. This can result in encephalitis.

The symptoms of herpes simplex encephalitis can include:
* a sore throat
* fever
* headache
* stiff neck
* runny nose and
* vomiting

As the disease progresses, more serious symptoms such as personality changes, paralysis, hallucinations, convulsions, and coma can occur. If left untreated, herpes encephalitis can result in death. There are antiviral drugs available to treat herpes infections.  (+ info)

what are the alternative methods of healing encephalitis?

This was my "brain concoction" after being diagnosed with encephalitist;
First was a complete body detox for three days, lots and lots of water and nutrional teas and supplements and then went to:

Gingko Biloba
Milk Thistle
Triple Lecithin
Fish body oils
phenalalnine
kelp

All can be bougth at your local GNC health food store.
Get a book called prescription for nutritional healing, it will explain all that I mentioned
