What are the signs and symptoms of a slipped disc and a herniated disc?

For 2 weeks now i have had low low back bain when I sit on the floor cross-legged, and lean forward. Any therapys that I should use to alleviate the tightness and pain? It isn't severe, only moderately annoying. Thanks so much.
If it only happens when you are cross legged, it could possibly be pain in your sacroiliac joints or the muscles surrounding that area. The sacroiliac joint is what people often refer to as their "hip joint" when they point to their back. A "slipped disc" is another way to say a bulging disc, which is less severe than a herniated disc.

Imagine a jelly doughnut, this is basically how the discs look in your back, when you squeeze too much the jelly can eventually ooze out through the doughnut. If the jelly oozes out the back of the doughnut toward the spinal cord, this is when problems occur, such as numbness and tingling down the legs, and the loss or decreased ability to move areas that are affected. A bulge is when the jelly is still inside the dougnut, but has deformed the doughnut toward the spinal cord, a herniation is when the jelly has blown out of the doughnut. Hopefully you can understand my analogy, it can be a bit confusing.

As far as therapies go, there are some stretches you could try but you should really get checked before starting them because depending on the actualy problem certain stretches could make your symptoms worse. I would recommend a chiropractor before your primary care doctor, because most primary care doctors lack experience in dealing with neuromusculoskeletal (a fancy word for nerves muscles and bones) complaints (your type of problem) whereas chiropractors are experts with the neuromusculoskeletal system. It was still on me. But the end was a little baggier then it should be. It caught all of the cum. It just wasnt on completly. Nothing seemed to be on the outside of it.
There is always the chance of pregnancy, but you should be okay.

Walking, swimming and physiotherapy are the only things that are recommended for someone suffering a slipped disc.

Running and the stress of swings a golf stick place too much pressure and friction on the nerves causing pain and numbness.  (+ info)

I slipped and fell on my steps 5 days after 5 day transfer?
Yes - I did. I slipped on the ice and fell down 3 cement steps, flat on my bottom just 3 hours after the embryo transfer.

My doctor said no worries - the embryos are microscopic and you really cannot "dislodge them" or do anything to cause them to not implant.

My twins are now 15 months old and we still joke that from that moment forward, they knew to dig deep because their mom was a klutz.

There is small gaping hole and some loose flesh around it. I am currently changing bandages several times a day and treating with Neosporin. Any suggestions?

um you still haven't found the condom? i'm confused... did it slip off inside of you or outside of you? If it slipped off inside of you then you could get pregnant. What kinds of exercises can a person do that is recovering from a slipped disc?

I had a disc removed in 2005 and just recently had another disc problem that I am completing physical therapy for. I am a dance teacher and dance 3 times a week and was an athlete in college. I am no longer able to do all of the exercises I am used to. I am not sure what kinds of workouts are out there for individuals recovering from injuries.
First, discuss it with your physical therapist. This is because no diagnosis lends itself to a "cookbook" exercise regemine. Diagnosis "A" does not mean you need "exercise" B, etc. Exercise must be individualized dependent on your response to specific movement. For instance, for those who are "extension responders" often do well with walking and swimming, while those who are "flexion responders" do better with stationary cycling, etc. Please discuss it with your PT.

If you slipped in the shower and got pretty hurt and broke some bones would you be put on the ambulance naked?

I just took a shower and while I was getting out I almost slipped and probably would break a bunch of bones if I had. Then I wondered if I got hurt bad enough that it hurt really bad to get clothes on if I would be carried onto the ambulance butt naked. Or would that be considered indecent exposure?
They would put a blanket on you, depends on what you broke if it was a head injury I wouldn't be worried about clothes. If you broke your leg or something then you would probably have time just to slip a rob on or shorts and a shirt if they are close, but they will cover you will a blanket. They wont just march you out there bare a$$ naked lol.  (+ info)

I have littered my mansion with banana peels in the hope that some of my older, more frail servants will trip over them in an hilarious fashion.
I was inspired by the works of silent movie artists. However, I am slightly disheartened that, during a test, I actually had to force myself onto the floor. Any tips?
Maybe you should put some marbles underneath the banana peels...
