Information on eye infections?

I know I don't have pink eye. But the corner of my left eye really hurts and my eyes are a bit teary. It could be a result to all the eye makeup I wear. Does anyone mind on giving me the 411 on eye infections?
dont touch your eye, at all, it sounds irritated, try taking your makeup off then dont ouch your eye.

pink eye is an infectio in your eye that caued discharge to come out, and i mean a lot, pink eye is responsible for making the whitepart of you eye pink and the veins are red, and you are all teary eyed , hence the name. You're eyes are semi sensitive and you're putting the makeup inside your eyes when it should only be worn outside.

Anyone else get eye infections or the "evil eye" when pregnant?

This is my second pregnancy and once again I have the evil red eye. I go to the dr again tomorrow, but so far I can't get rid of it. It just keeps coming back. Has this ever happened to anyone else? My ob said it wsa due to hormones. What helped heal your eye or did it keep coming back for you, too?
lol..the evil eye! no, never had that happen. you should find out if it's bacterial, viral or allergy related. that way you can take steps to prevent it--like maybe a stronger antibiotic/ different form (pills or ointment), or some allergy meds. if you wear contacts, switch to glasses. it just sucks because there are only so many things you can safely take while preggers. hope you get it cleared up for good!  (+ info)

When none of my friends get eye infections when they cry?!
Either your tears have bacteria or you cry and while your hand or an object against your eye to clear away the tears and the object has bacteria on it which causes the infection.

I use colloidal silver its a natural anti bacterial. Ive used it for conjunctivitis and pink eye. It doesn't sting. You can even use for soar throats. I even put in my mascara and other makeup after wards and it saved me from buying all new makeup. I don't know if you can get it at walmart but I got it a my health food store.  (+ info)

heey , so i have an eye infection i believe . it is swollen on my lower lid . it is way worse in the mornings . i felt something on tuesday night , and by the morning it was swollen on the lower eye lid . throughout the day is subsided a bit . (but still hurt) this morning i woke up & it was much more swollen than the first day . i'm wondering if we should let it be for a bit ? & do you think by tomorrow if it will be better , or worse like today ? . & will my eye infection clear up without medication?

It might just be a cherry or an ingrown eyelash. Put a wet tea bag on it for about 20 minutes a few times a day - if it starts to feel better after a day or two, you're in the clear. If you see any discharge or it REALLY starts to swell, see a doctor.  (+ info)

Clean all of your brushes, wash your hands often, don't share your makeup with people, if you have an infection, stop using your makeup immediately, and throw away your makeup after about 3 months because my then it has gone bad. Hope that helped! Good luck!  (+ info)

i have two pet cockatiels and they enjoy preening my eyes, however my eyes have become really sore lately and my right eye hurts to keep open. i have a small amount of yellow stuff in the corner of my eyes each morning and my eyes have a few red lines too. could this be caused by the birds or could it be something else do you know. i also spend a massive amount of time on my laptop, but i do use it in a well lit room and at a distance. thx .
Yes, you can get eye infections from birds. Suggest you see your GP as soon as possible to get your eyes checked out........eyesight is very precious !
You should also have periodic breaks from your laptop/PC......I believe the recommended break is after every 4 hours !
