How can you get rid of a swollen eyelid?

I just got a chalazion removed, and my eyelid is really swollen.
Its very hard to open it, and everyone stares as I pass by.
I'd like to get rid of it over night, is there any easy way to do it?

What is the women wearing under the bottom eyelid?

I have seen a lot of women wearing a color under their bottom eyelid, not on the line above the hairs where most of us wear our eyeliner, but under the complete eye. Can someone tell me what is this and how to apply it. I seem to think it will run or smudge. Thanks for any help.
This can be either eyeliner or eyeshadow. Eye liner is applied below the lower lashes just as it is above them. The eyeshadow is applied with a thin brush or tip, darker at the outside corners and sweeping in. If you decide to do this, be SURE that you have no bags under your eyes as this will enhance those bags. (They can be reduced with a hemorrhoid or skin tightening cream.) Generally the color used under the eye should be the same lighter accent color used in the corners of the eye and possibly the crease, but should not be the same color as the eyelid itself.  (+ info)

How do I prevent black smudges on my eyelid from my mascara and eyeliner?

An hour or so after I apply my makeup I get these horrible black smudges right below my brow bone, on my upper eyelid. I think from my mascara or eyeliner. I hate it because it's so embarrasing and I always have to check! Plus when I wipe the smudges off all my eyeshadow goes with it!

How do I make a crease in my eyelid without getting surgury?

I'm asian and I don't have the double eyelid look. I'd like to have it so I can really apply eye shadow. Are there any tips for creating one yourself?
i would say its better to stay away from the eye glue and eye tape because i had two friends who used it whose eyelids ended up drooping because of it. use shades of plum as they look great on asian eyes. using an eyeline, draw a thick line that goes past the eyes. highlight the inner corner of your eyes with a silver/white makeup crayon to make the eyes appear brighter. mascara can be addd. and you can put a plum color on your lids. crease or no crease.  (+ info)

How do I keep my bottom eyelid's eyeliner from smudging?

I line my bottom eyelid on my waterline (I like the look of it better than on the outside of the eyelid) but it somehow still manages to smudge at the outside corner. Is there any way I can keep it from doing this?
Don't use too much of it, and it you put it on the 'waterline' it will always smudge and ware away. Put in on your lashes instead.  (+ info)

What makes your eyelid jump and what can make it stop?

My eyelid has been jumping for about 3 weeks now and it is really irritating. I have heard it can occur from stress, and I 've been told to put ice on it, or take Ibuprophen. Can someone give me some home remedy to make it stop?
Eye twitching is usually caused by stress and lack of sleep. Even good stress is stress, like being tired after a vacation or a weekend of partying. You need to sleep more, take your vitamins, and drink plenty of water. Try to walk around the block once or twice a day too....exercise zaps the stress hormones. For today, you might want to take a long hot shower and also put some warm compresses on your eyes to try to calm it down and cut off the caffeine for a couple of days, this amplifies it, try drinking some camomille tea instead. How to stop eyeshadow from smudging on to the eyelid above the creas?

I want to wear eyeshadow, but it doesn't last long. i apply it underneath the eyelid crease, but then it smudges onto the part above the crease x.x

any suggestions with what I can do to stop this?
primer.

a primer doesnt have to be urban decay primer potion or too faced eye insurance or something like that. it can be ANY creamy eyeshadow or product. you can even use your liquid/cream concealer as a primer too. i'd recommend you either use your concealer, buy a nude color (for more versatility) or buy one of the products they market as an e/s primer (like the two i first mentioned...out of those i'd recommend the too faced brand. theyre both good but the urban decay bottle is currently flawed and wastes alot of product. altho it IS cute lol)

my favorite thing to use as a primer is MAC's paints & paint pots. for paints, the nude-st most popular color is bare study. as for paint pots i've got brown skin so i use Groundwork and it suits my skin perfectly. You can also try bare study in the paint pot which is a fairly neutral color. If you can afford it, you can branch out afterwards and buy other colors. I love using my black paintpot for a dark smokey look. a paint/paint pot as a colored base can really change the look of an e/s...so obv that helps with creating diff looks.

always remember to apply your nude primer all the way upto your brows cuz if youre using a highlighter (which i hope you are) that will help that stay on longer.  (+ info)

How can i get rid of this lump on my eyelid without surgery?

I've had this on my top eyelid for a couple of years now. It dosn't hurt and kind of just appeared there. I went to the doctors and he said something about it being a blocked tear gland and i could have it removed. But i don't like the sound of is there anyway of getting rid of it another way? I have tried hot compresses etc and thats not worked. It dosn't show when i have been asleep but after a couple of hours of being awake or if i get tired you can notice it.So i kind of have to lay down in the day before i go out so it sort of relaxes it and it don't show!! What can i do?
If it is on the eyelash line, it is probably a stye, and antibiotic drops might work. If in is up on the lid itself, it is probably a chalazion, which will need to be excised. And I hate to tell you, but it hurts like a s.o.b. when they give you the shot to numb the lid.  (+ info)
