Signs of a concussion and minor head injuries?

I hit my head, kinda hard, but not REAL hard. Anyways, my head doesn't hurt, but I am sooo dizzy, its hard to keep my balance and I am having weird coordination problems. It happened about 30 minutes ago. Will this go away or is this a sign of something serious.
Also, I am having slight double vision, very slight
----------

well you are having some bad signs especially since it is with a head injury i would go to a doctor whenever you get the chance to these seem very serious get it checked out now  (+ info)

Aftercare for people with head injuries in South West?

Headway in Cornwall cannot help my relative anymore and it seems she has been abandoned, with emotional problems, aggresiveness, etc. she does not seem to come under the Mental Health umbrells, so where can she go for help, she lives with her parents as she has a child aged 7 and is greatly in debt, so she is trapped in a very unhappy place with her elderly parents who cannot cope with her at all.
----------

I don't know that part of the UK, but I guess there should be at least a department of neuropsychiatry. they should be able to at least point you in the right direction.
This kind of problems are often experienced by people with head injury, as some of the are the effect of it.
good luck.  (+ info)

How do you care for an unconscious victim of head, neck, or back injuries?

1st - don't move them or you could make their injuries much worse (unless puts them in further danger not to do so - fire, drowning, etc.)

2nd - call 911

3rd - look for any visible injuries/bleeding - do what you can for those injuries, without moving the victim, while you wait for help to arrive. There's nothing that first aid can do for brain or spinal injuries.  (+ info)

Risk associated with head injuries that result in immediate or delayed concussionss?

There is no such thing as a head injury that doesn't cause some potential problem, and some such problems can kill very easily. Others will leave you with impaired cognition and motor skills for the rest of your life if left untreated.

Further, the old idea that losing consciousness is the only indicator of a potentially dangerous head injury is completely wrong. If you hit your head, you need to have it checked, ASAP.

The book below has a couple of very good chapters on head injuries.  (+ info)

I am having some stiff neck pains and difficulty turning my head to the left or right. No injuries known.?

I was not injured, and had typical walking work out, light weight lifting. The pain is generally in the back of my neck and runs up to the base of the skull. I know I did not injure myself, but it seems the muscles are unusually stiff, anyone have any recommendations for relief? Tylenol is not helping, and neither did sleep!!!

Have you fluffed your pillows lately?
Bad pillows can hurt your neck while you sleep, causing neck pains, headaches, and jaw misalignment problems.
If you find yourself tossing and turning at night, you could have a bad mattress as well.
Discount linen stores sell Tempur-Pedic Bed toppers, that is, a two inch thick pad you can put directly on top of your mattress. That will help your body alignment while you sleep.
You can buy better pillows at the discount linen store. Try a series of different pillows each night. Buy one of each kind: flat, thick, firm soft, and feather, and try them out. Pick out your favorite and send the rest you won't use to a homeless shelter (and add a nice deed to your life book).
A better pillow and mattress should help your neck problems while you are sleeping.  (+ info)

In Detective Conan (Case Closed), why does Genta (George) have a bald spot on the side of his head?

I've always wondered why he has the random bald spot and I've searched everywhere. Is there any reason to be found?
----------

Haha I wondered the same thing too! :) But honestly, I don't think there's a reason for it. Since he's kind of clumsy, maybe adding the bald spot adds to that? And he is also chubby lol.

Hope I helped a bit~! :)

what do you think? abrasions to the elbows, and the back of the head. No injuries on the front of the body.?

If someone had these kinds of injuries; would you think A. they fell out backwards B. they jumped out backwards C. they jumped forward did a complete flip and caught themselves of their elbows, and sustain no frontal injuries?
----------

They either fell backwards... or was dragged. If the abrasions look more like carpet burns rather than an impact injury, they were probably dragged.  (+ info)
