Hematuria?

Does anyone else have hematuria? What was your diagnosis? I'm not looking for a definition of hematuria, I know what it is, I've had it for years. I have already completed an IVP and sonogram, and next week I have to do a CT urograph.
----------

For understanding chronic (long standing) hematuria, the
first diagnostic procedure I recommend is a Cystoscopy.
Even after all other scheduled tests you still may need a
cystoscopy.Painless hematuria is to be investigated till
the cause is found.  (+ info)

Has anyone experienced hematuria or slight bleeding after urinating when taking Oxycontin?

I was wondering if anyone else or anyone know what the chances are of experiencing some very light bleeding from urethra when taking Oxycontin/Oxycodone? Since I have started it, I have had about 2 to 3 times a week some pale pink blood on tissue after I urinate. I have had urinalysis and all came back negative on culture for any bacteria. Thank you!

Bleeding is not one of the side effects written:

microscopic bood traces in her urine which is called as hematuria, how serious is this disease?

my daughter is 5 years old and has microscopic bood traces in her urine which is called as hematuria for the past 2 years. I would like to know is it anything serious or do ay of your kids have it and when they grow they outgrow it?
----------

LOl that's not a disease. Its a diagnosis. It means 'blood in urine'. It does not tell you why. Press your doctor and tell them you want answers as to why. Or the best thing you could do is give her some herbal remedies to flush out her urinary system. They are gentle and don't cause side effects. They're completely safe. Look up 'herbal remedies for hematuria'.  (+ info)

Can Hematuria be caused by Amoxicillin or Ibuprofen?

I am taking both Amoxicillin and Ibuprofen, which were prescribed by my doctor for strep throat. Can one (or both) of these medications cause Hematuria?

There is a likely hood that I have a UTI.
D=
----------

Both drugs can cause what is called interstitial nephritis and cause hematuria ,other rare explanation could be what is called Poststreptococcal Glomerulonephritis which is one of non pleasant complications of strep throat infection which sometimes need admission to the hospital for managing blood pressure and edema .,it only happens in kids and very rare in USA .
Usually interstial nephritis cause eosinophilia in blood or urine ,however Poststreptococcal Glomerulonephritis cause blood ,protien loss in urine ,
the latter course could be serious because it may lead to high blood pressure and edema unless it is treated in the hospital symptomatically .
If you think that you have UTI symptoms like burning sensation and urinary frequency ,this could be the most likely reason .  (+ info)

how long after ureteroscopy and stent removal until acute hematuria goes away?

I had the surgery to remove a kidney stone (which was successful) and i went back to the doctor for a 10 day checkup, he said i still have a small amount of blood in my urine, which is probably caused from the surgery and may take months to completely heal. wanted some more input. thanks!
----------

the doc is right, it can take months for the tissues to heal from such a procedure. But as long as you cannot actually see blood in your urine you have little to worry about. I would suggest you drink a lot of water to keep your urine dilute, this will help speed healing.  (+ info)
