im taking gynera does and im also taking hypothyroidism medicine ,is it ok. and also im suffering hypocalcemia?

ruscelia e,
I am not aware of any adverse drug interactions with Gynera either as Generix T Oral/Generiac Oral or Junior Mapap Oral. This does not mean that there are not any adverse drug reactions to this drug. You state that you have hypothyroidism The body’s calcium regulation is maintained by parathyroid hormone (PTH), vitamin D, and calcitonin through complex feedback loops. These compounds act primarily at bone, renal, and GI sites. Calcium also is affected by magnesium and phosphorus. You would be advised to consult your prescribing/medicating doctor and advise him/her of the medications and food and drink that you are taking – provided, for whatever reason, he or she is not already aware. You will then be informed of the requirements for your various symptoms and the necessary treatment regime that you should follow.

What diseases can develope from a tumor in the parathyroid gland?

From the list below.

1. Osteoarthritis
2. Achondroplasia
3. Osteoporosis
4. Hypocalcemia
5. Hyperthyroidism
6. Hypercalcemia

Please explain.
----------

Parathyroid is a gland in neck whih produces a hormone called PTH (parathyroid hormone). Its oversecretion will cause:
Hypercalcemia
PTH causes increase absorption of calicium from Gut/ kidney and bone and increased excretion of phosphate from kidney thus it will lead to Hypercalcemia (increased caliun level in blood) and hypophosphatemia.
Most common cause of hyperparathyroidism is adenoma (85%)  (+ info)

How many mugs of coffee is safe to consume in a day without worrying about my acid-peptic disorder?

I love to drink coffee..........but theres a problem that i have acid-peptic disorder and also pt hypocalcemia........so coffee is really not good for both of them.........so please tell me can i drink at least one cup of coffee and one cup of tea a day....and please also tell me how many can i drink safely without worrying any of my above two conditions.
----------

Probably none. Also, decaf is actually more acidic than regular coffee because of the processing it goes through. It's not really just the caffeine that makes coffee acidic -- there are multiple factors (pop/soda is also acidic, but it's mostly due to the sugar and various chemicals).

I'd strongly recommend checking with your doctor. Do you really *need* the coffee??

In regard to the tea, if you're not drinking it for the caffeine, you may want to try rooibos tea. I've heard it actually has an alkelizing effect on the body, so it's possible it could actually help your conditions. You can get rooibos mixed with various flavors. I've tried some different fruit and spiced flavors and really liked them.  (+ info)

what conditions might a person be given calcium regulatory drugs?

I think Osteoporosis, and Hypocalcemia are two can anyone think of two more?
----------

possibly for Padget's Disease, especially if it's located in the skull or lower spine. I have both, but the spread is so gradual that drug therapy is not required. Padget's is usually located in the shins;
mine is also located in my jaw.  (+ info)

I think I might have Hypocalcemia, what are the symptoms?

I think I might have Hypocalcemia. My muscles in my thighs and stomach are always twitching and you can see them. I have a hard time focusing sometimes. My vision might be blurred or foggy/cloudy. My hair is falling out in clumps. I have migranes a lot of the time. I'm always tired and just completely out of it everyday at around 4(I wake up at 6:30am). Um, I can't think of anything else other than that. My diet isn't very well. I'm still recovering from an eating disorder. But, would anybody be so kind as to help me? I would really appreciate everyone's help. I forgot to mention I am a 17 year old female.
I also have an irregular period. Sometimes with cramps, most without.
Amnesty, I am well hydrated. But, I will get checked out for dehydration & anemia.
----------

I know you've probably heard it hundreds of time since you are recovering from an eating disorger but it sounds like eating properly will help straighten your problems up. A lot of vitamins are stored in fat and since you do not have much of that then you are probably lacking many vital nutrients. I hope that you are working with others (therapist/dr/nutritionist) to help you get to a healthy weight. Make sure you are taking a daily vitamin and working hard to gain weight. I know that it will be hard in the beginning but your family and friends is there for your support and make sure you use them to help you. It will be a long process but it'll make you healthier in the future.
I hope that helps!  (+ info)

can Hypocalcemia cause celebral palsy?

Cerebral palsy is generally thought to be a congenital condition which is present at birth. They think it is due to damage to the brain, whether it be from a maternal infection, anoxia/hypoxia (lack of/shortage of oxygen to the baby's brain), or metabolic imbalances (of which hypocalcemia would be one).

Although hypocalcemia is not specifically mentioned as a cause in most books and articles, it does appear that they consider it as a possible cause.

Of course, it is difficult to know ahead of time if a baby will have cerebral palsy, and therefore, checking calcium levels in a fetus is not routinely done, I don't think. I believe most of the time, it's not evident a baby has the condition until after it's born. At that time they can draw blood samples and from that blood, they can see that the calcium is low and then treat it.

Again, oftentimes, it is not known the baby is hypocalcemic until the baby is born and blood is drawn from that baby.

Hope this is helpful.  (+ info)

here's what wikipedia says:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypocalcemia

just a fancy way of saying "low blood calcium." Looks like there are a lot of possible causes, most of which are pretty fixable. I wouldn't worry too much.  (+ info)
