What would cause an intermittent cold sensation on the top of the foot?

Every 3 minutes it feelings like someone is putting an ice cube on the top of my foot(only rt foot)......no pain.....or tingling. Just like cold water being poured over a 2 inch section of my foot. No previous broken bones or problems. No diabetes or circulation problems. No injuries or medications. No discoloration. I am baffled. It has been going on for 4 days.
Thank you in advance.

A cold sensation would suggest circulation, have you checked your pedal pulse?

Go and see a podiatrist.  (+ info)

I had surgery to correct intermittent strabismus and now my eye is always pointing inward. What can I do now?

I think it is much more noticeable now and the doctor says that I may need additional surgery. But my health insurance coverage ends in a month. How can I get this corrected. Surgery was a week ago and now I have to do exercises to get it straight but I feel its much worse now.
I have 3 months of visits to see the doctor. I just can't believe its worse now than before.
----------

You may indeed need further surgery. Call your insurance company to see if they will cover additional surgery since the original problem was not totally repaired. You may be able to get coverage even after your policy ends.  (+ info)

I woke up with a sharp intermittent throbbing inner thigh pain, every 5 sec or so. What is this?

I rubbed on some Walgreen 1% cortisone ointment, and suprisingly it took away the pain. The next day it came back, but the ointment worked again. Sometimes it re-occurs during the day, sometimes not.

What is the average cost for an intermittent strabismus eye surgery? Is this considered an elective surgery?

My left eye deviates inward when I'm trying to focus on anything small, or I'm trying to be accurate with something. It creates in focus double vision if I try and use both eyes at the same time.

So, I'm considering eye surgery to correct this problem. Has anyone had any personal experience with this procedure? and how much did the operation cost.

Thank you very much.
Oh, I do wear a corrective prism in my glasses, so I experience this problem mostly when wearing my soft contact lenses.
----------

The cost of strabismus surgery depends on your insurance, the hospital you have the surgery at and their room fees, fees for anaesthesia, and fees from your ophthalmologist's office. Since you have prism in your glasses, you may also need to get a pair of glasses without prism,

Many insurance companies will cover strabismus surgery, as it is a restorative surgery and not just a cosmetic surgery. This link has a lot of information about strabismus surgery in adults:

You may want to see a pediatric ophthalmologist- they are medical doctors who specialize in strabismus in children and adults. This link will help you find a pediatric ophthalmologist:

Continuous Reinforcement Schedule or Intermittent Reinforcement Schedule for little children ?

I'm studying Human Growth and Development. It says that under continuous reinforcement schedule, the reinforcer will loss its effect after awhile whereas under intermittent reinforcement schedule, the reinforcer will be strengthened after awhile.

Is this mean that if a child does something good like being nice to his brother, we should only appraise some of the times but not every time ?
----------

In my opinion, intermittent is more effective because the child is more likely to perform the behavior because of the possibility of reinforcement. From my child dev classes in college, we were taught that IR works better in the long run. Just my opinion though.  (+ info)

Any ideas about intermittent pain in my left shoulder?

I have a pain in my left shoulder, it feels like a 2-3 second electrical shock. It doesn't go down my arm at all. It is completely random, doesn't matter if I am working hard or sitting on the couch. I am having an MRI arthrogram in a week. I was just wondering if anybody had anything like this happen to them. Like I said the pain is COMPLETELY random, I don't know when it is coming and it doesn't hurt when it is over. Thanks for any help.
----------

you have tension locked in it...now, I am guessing that you work out.....but either way, do not have surgery! I know these things....now sit on the couch, and raise this arm up, and use the other hand to grab the elbow...now, drop and relax the arm that has the pain, your arm is probably stiff and more limited than the other, but if you let it stretch each spot you move it to ...and let it drop, you will feel the tension release....im me if you need ,,,i can talk you thru..laney(pain relief specialist....  (+ info)

What could cause an intermittent tingling in the scrotum?

It has been there for several months, a tingling sensation in the scrotum. Doctors are unable to diagnose, please if anyone has any insight let me know. Thank you!
In response to Ranger - Yes was tested negative for all STDs, am sexually active and 27 years old. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks
----------

Let me a bit nosy.

Are you sexually active? Has the doctor tested you for STD's? Do you masturbate a lot (more than once a day)?

How old are you?

If you are in your teens then this might be a regular part of growing up. When you were younger your did not put you junk into operation. Now that you do you your junk has to adjust to the change.  (+ info)

I Have Acute Intermittent porphyria Do you have it? Would like to talk to others with this disease?

Would like to talk to others with this disease. I know it is a rare disease but it is effecting my everyday life.
----------

Robbie, if you live in So. California, there's a good support group in this area. We meet twice a year and do our best to help each other feel less distant from other people. A rare disorder is not fun. I have VP and have experienced all kinds of mistreatment from MDs, etc. Nita  (+ info)

I have a really bad burning sensation and intermittent pain in my left breast?

I last had this a month ago but now it is back and making me feel really sick. It has lasted three days now. It is not heart burn or indegestion because it is localised in just the left side. I am really scared but dont want to go to the doctors just yet just in case im worried about nothing. The pain is constantly there.. What could this be?
----------

GET TO THE DOCTOR IT COULD BE VERY SERIOUS LIKE A SIGN OF BREST CANCER, OR HEART ATTACK. GET TO A DOC AND GET AN ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS.  (+ info)

When one has intermittent bone pain in the hips, is that a symptom of prostate cancer, or must it be constant?

I got hip pain, that comes and goes. It may be gone for several days and then comes back. Is that a symptom of prostate cancer or must the hip pain be constant to be for prostate cancer?
----------

A single symptom does not indicate anything. Men with prostate cancer can and do have pain in their hips, most do not and people who do not have cancer at all also have hip pain.  (+ info)
