to more readily release neurotrnsmitters such as

One of the main reasons that we have chemical imbalances of neurotransmitters is the large amount of omega 6 fats in our diets. Omega three fats and omega 6 fats should be taken in a one to one ratio but we have several times more omega 6 fats, trans fats etc which mess up our neurotransmitter receptor sites.

When the neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, norephedrine etc jump from one neuron (nerve cell) to the next over the synaptic gap, they must fit into the neuroreceptor site in the next neuron after traveling through the gap.

think of the neurons as islands and when thy leave the shore to travel through the synaptic gap (lake) the neurotransmitters (boats) must fit into the neurotransmitter receptor sites (docking bays) at the next neuron (island)

Generally it i a snug fit between the neurotransmitters and neurotransmitter receptor site (boats and docking bay) and they must wiggle their way in there. Because it is pliable they do in the normal brain; however, when we eat too much omega 6 fats, trans fats, animal fats, they become rigid and the boats cannot fit into the docking bays and thus the boats (various neurotransmitters like serotonin etc) start gathering in the lake cause they are stuck in their journey cause they can't fit in the docking bays to continue their journey to the next island (neuron). this causes a chemical imbalance that manifests as depression or some other mental illness

We need to reverse our ratio of omega three and omega 6 fats back to one to one.

So take lots of fish oil (3000-5000 mg) which reverse all types of mental illness, eat more fish and seafood especially those highest in omega three fats like canned or fresh salmon, mackerel, herring and sardines (do not use farm raised fish which resembled land animals due to what they feed them, use wild caught)..you want cold water deep sea fish as mentioned above

Land sources of omega three fats are few and include flax seed, flax seed oils, purslane and raw walnuts. Eat those too.


At the same time reduce your intake of omega 6 fats, trans fats and animal fats.

I work in the home of my client. i have to bathe, help eat, help go to the bathroom, and he/she cna be aggressive at times to where he/ she will scratch,pinch, bite, kick or get really up in my face to get hugs.

there is no cause of encephalitis that would be directly transmissible from human to human EXCEPT for rabies. But I think you know that you client doesn't have that. Each case is fatal in about a week after the onset of symptoms.

Whatever the other cause of encephalitis -- western equine, easter equine, west nile, Lacrosse, St Louis, CMV, listeria, naelgleria, toxoplasmosis --

none of these are transmissible from human to human. Just use standard precautions as you would with anyone else. Use gloves if you anticipate contact with body fluids.

My boyfriend had encephalitis when he was 6 years old. He told me the doctor said that he may not be able to have any children until he was in his 30's, if even then. I was just wondering what the possibilities were or if he is avoiding "baby talk" with me. I'm 31 & he's 29.
The doctor told his mother and she explained to him about him not being to have children when he was old enough to understand.
Ok Doctors do not tell children they can't have children so he must of gotten this news much later.Encephalitis is swelling of the brain I fail to see how that effects his ability to have children.What does age have to do with it? You are either fertile or you are not.I think you have a much bigger problem and you certainly should have no children with him.I am sorry.I think he does not want children at this time in his life.  (+ info)

As far as I am aware this is not available on the NHS and has to be brought privately. I could be wrong about this next part, but I think your GP surgery can order it for you (you of course will have to pay the fee) which is about £100. Contact your Surgery for advice.  (+ info)

Contact the CDC and ask them. Japanese encephalitis isn't something they see much of in Kansas and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't keep a stock anywhere. Have fun in Okinawa. Wish I was going, it's an incredible place with so much to do. Expensive, though.  (+ info)

Is the headache associated with encephalitis generally continuous once it starts, or can it come and go?

Most online resources mention headache and fever as symptoms, but they don't mention if the headache comes and goes throughout the day, or if it is a continuous pain.

I'm curious if the headache associated with encephalitis (particularly herpes simplex encephalitis, but also for the general kind) can come and go throughout the day, or if the swelling of the brain results in continuous head pain and/or fever, regardless of what else is going on externally.
There are lots of different types of encephalitis. And as you noticed, most resources simply list "headache" as a symptom. Although, I might add that, at least for some types of encephalitis, it's typically a headache that is severe enough to bring people into the ER [1].

With rabies, the headache is continuous [2].

I found one case report of a women who presented with continuous headache (as well as other symptoms), and the differential diagnosis in the article includes multiple types of encephalitis [3].
