Is piercing your lip with a ring really more painful than a labret stud?

I'm getting my lip pierced and I'm planning on doing it with a captive bead ring. I don't like studs at all but people are saying that the ring hurts a lot more than the stud. REALLY??!!
Sunshine, when you mean "uncomfortable" do you mean painful? Cos uh.. pain and discomfort are different in my book.
I really don't see how it would be - I think a labret stud would be more painful during insertion, just because it's externally threaded & a cbr isn't. Also, who is saying that rings are more painful? Unless they work in a tattoo shop, you probably shouldn't listen to what they're telling you.  (+ info)

What works better for long lasting lip color?

I'm getting married soon (yay!) but I've come to a little dillema. Because I don't want to have to keep applying lipstick throughout my big day, I want the VERY best lip color when it comes to staying power. Which brings me to my question-

What would work better? One of these "long lasting" lipsticks over liner, one of the ones that you brush on and seal with a clear gloss type stuff, or a lip stain instead?

I don't mind finding a moment or two to steal away to reapply, as long as it does NOT come off on the glasswear, the GROOM, or worse, my TEETH!

Also, tips and tricks to make it last extra long would be much appreciated!
Oh my, to the one girl with the complicated answer... @_@... How can I keep up with that?! I would prefer something a little bit simpler, lol.

And by the way, I kinda like the Sugar Sugar lip topping from Revlon. If I used it lightly, do you think it would look ok, or kinda tacky?

What does a lip piercing usually look like during the healing process?

Well I got my lip pierced likme a month and a haly ago and now it looks and feels healed but inside around the hole it looks like i have extra hanging bubbling skin but it doesn,t hurt what could it be?
It could be scar tissue, or an infection. Go back to where you had it pierced and have them look at it. They should be able to put any fears to rest, and if needed, tell you to see a doc.  (+ info)

I have always used chapstick. I have Carmaxx, but it didn't really work for me. I did try Softlips but I lost it and could never find it. So what lip is the best to use for over excessive dry cracked lips?
I use Carmex in the tube, not the stick. I feel that for really dry lips like mine, I need something that can be squeezed out. I've heard Aquafina is good, and so is Nivea and Vaseline. Whichever you choose, make sure to drink plenty of water as well!  (+ info)

What are some lip gloss that give your lips color?

I know lip gloss are supposed to make your lips smooth and tasty but are there any that can give your lips some actual color? I don't want to wear lipstick plus I'm too young and people won't take me seriously. Some lip glosses claim to give your lips color but it's barely noticeable. I want ones that make your lips a darker shade because my lips are just to pale and I don't think light pink would work with my black hair.
Sephora has the best! It looks shiny but natural! The color is just light enough to not look lie you tried too hard, and it has a cute little bottle that fits in your pocket!  (+ info)

When i mean nude, i don't actually mean nude no color, i still want a little color in it. Just really light colors.
The best place to buy a nude lipstick is Mac; they have a shade to suit every race. Please note, one nude lipstick may look great on one person but not on another.

Not just because of your complexion, but your lip pigment. To give you an example a lot of women rushed out to buy a nude lipstick Angelina Jolie was wearing only to find they looked like a corpse.

What they did not realise that Angelina has naturally red lips and that is why the lipstick looked divine on her, the red warmed up the beige giving her lips a gorgeous sexy nude lip.

Go to Mac and test and decide which one you like on yourself. Seek assistant from one of the beauty consultants, I find them very helpful. There are pink, beige and brown nudes. The latter mainly for darker skins, since brown will look nude.  (+ info)
