How long should my lip be swollen after a lip piercing?

I got my lip pierced last night, and now day its REALLY swollen. Like, its so swollen that the lip stud is tight now. Should i take it out?? Its just really freaking tight, and its really sore. I just dont want to have to touch it if i dont have to. >.>
If theres no space on the bar, get it change to a sterile longer one by a piercer right away (don't attempt it yourself!)
Embedded piercings are not nice.

The worst of the swelling is normally gone after a week. Ibuprofen will help take the edge off it.  (+ info)

On female.
When you see a female walking down the street with a lip percing on the bottom lip side. What's the first thing that come to mind. Also, If you do have a lip piercing what do people tell you. Someone told me people that have lip piercing have it on their vaginas. That's stupid. I think they are very pretty and classy looking.

What is a good everyday lip moisturizer?

I don't know if I have problematic lips or not. They're not dry. My BF never complains about them being dry. But to me unless I just used a product they feel dry and chapped. Waking up in the morning my lips always feel horrible and slightly painful, but they look okay.

I presume it's the products i'm using and the dependence on them. I'm hoping someone can suggest a good everyday lip moisturizer/balm that can leave my lips feeling soft, natural and moisturized without an overt dependence to use it every 20 minutes.
Well, you can buy some aquafina lip balm, or you can do this. Take a little bit of sugar and put it in the palm of your hand, then add a little water and mix it around. How much does a lip piercing hurt in comparison to an ear piercing?

I got my ear pierced about eight months ago. After four weeks, I took out the stud and put in a size 14 gauge horseshoe with studs on the ends. I want to put a labret with a stud on the end in my lip. I wanted to know if it would feel about the same or if it would hurt more or less? Thanx.
It is a different kind of pain, but not necessarily more intense depending on how your ear was pierced and how you generally handle pain.

If your earlobe was pierced with a piercing gun, then you've managed to withstand having a dangerously blunt and unsterilized stud forced through your ear. While very quick, the gun uses blunt impact which can lead to tissue trauma, and the studs in those guns are usually way too short-posted for an adult sized lobe. Aside from that, the guns are plastic and therefore can't be autoclaved (steam sterilized like other piercing equipment).

Getting your lip pierced with a needle will be just as quick, if your piercer is good, and should feel like a much cleaner, sharper incision. Also, it's much cleaner. Oral piercings heal remarkably fast, as long as you're gargling with mouthwash and avoiding touching or playing with your piercing.  (+ info)

In your opinion, what do you think is the best lip gloss out in the shops at the moment? Which stay on for the longest? What do you think?
Bourjois does a great lip gloss, I can't remeber the name of it, but it's in a clear tube and is creates a wet look and is wet not sticky. So its better for kissing because you don't get all over your boyfriends face lol because it's more watery. It's really good and I think it costs a bout 7 quid. wax it. they have wax kits you can buy in the store and do yourself. it's basically like really sticky tape that you put wherever you want the hair to come off - then pull very quickly.  (+ info)

There is no safe way to pierce it by yourself and not get it infected. If you really want to have it pierced go get it done professionally. They will tell you how to keep it clean.  (+ info)
