How long did it take for your child's Mongolian spots to fade?

I know some don't ever go away, but a majority do. Just curious, on an average, how long it takes them to fade. (My daughter is Guatemalan/Hispanic).
----------

For those who are answering without a clue - Mongolian Spots are birthmarks located at the base of the spine and on the bottom that look like bruises. These are found on dark skinned babies (mine's Asian).
My son's Mongolian Spots have faded a little bit - he's two. My husband said his were completely gone when he was about 8 years old. How old is your daughter? Is you pediatrician aware of Mongolian spots and what they look like? I read that some pedis and daycare providers who are not accustomed to them will mistake them for abuse. Make sure her doctor documents them.  (+ info)

I need the name of the Genghis Khan or Mongolian Beef style restaurant in Portland.?

Lived in Portland for 1 year and loved this restaurant, but can’t remember the name. Its like the Genghis Khan or Mongolian Beef style restaurants you find in the mall. You gather the veggies, the meat, the sauces, and you take the fresh food to the grill and they cook it right in front of you. I absolutely loved this spot. Anyone know the name? I think its in Portland near the Lloyd Center.

What kind of equipment is used in Mongolian cooking and what kind of grease vapors are generated?

Need to find out if Mongolian cooking produces the same after effects (grease laden vapors) as Chinese cooking.

I am looking for the end results in a restaurant environment not in home.
Need to know what kind of equipment and what type of residual waste (grease) is generated in a Mongolian cuisine restaurant.
----------

Mongolian cooking that I have experienced uses less oil than in Chinese cooking. They cook on a flat griddle moreso than in a wok and would be limited with the amount of oil for that reason alone.

I would expect that a Mongolian restaurant would be healthier than a Chinese restaurant in terms of grease vapors  (+ info)

Anyone have the recipe for that mongolian pocket bread?

The bread they serve at Mongolian BBQ Restaurants. I can't find the recipe any where. I know it's got to be unlevened, it has to be simple... Help? Thanks!
----------

POCKET BREAD

5 or 6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. hot water

Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast. Add hot water and beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Scrape sides of bowl. Add 3/4 cup flour, beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Mix enough flour to make soft dough. Turn onto floured board. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Turn to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Punch down. Turn onto floured board. Cover and let rest 30 minutes. Divide dough into 6 equal parts. Shape into balls on floured board. Roll each ball into 8-inch circle. Slide each circle onto bottom of oven (very hot!) or on cookie sheet on lowest rack. Bake at 450 degrees for 5-10 minutes. Tops won't be brown. To brown tops, put in broiler for 2 minutes.
{ note }
I suggest you use instant dry yeast.
The way this recipe is put together or any other pocket bread recipe I have seen.
regural dry yeast would not be activated.
I hope I have helped you. jim b

What is served in a mongolian resteraunt?

i am doing a project in class...WHAT IS SERVED IN A MONGOLIAN RESTERAUNT??!?!!?!?!?!? This is really important and i would really like honest answers.
----------

It depends.

Do you mean something like "Mongolian grill"? It's not real Mongolian food. The Mongolian name was originally a marketing gimmick to make Chinese-related food seem more appetizing and exotic. Those restaurants tend to have a collection of raw veggies and meats which the diner selects and brings to a chef at an open grill to make into a type of stirfry/bbq thing.

At a legit Mongolian restaurant (why you'd want one is beyond me) you'd get a lot of types of dumplings, meat, and horse dairy products.

Mongolian marks are just a pigmentation oddity, like strawberry birthmarks, etc. They are more common in Asian and Native American babies, and generally fade over time.  (+ info)

How much does lunch cost at BD's Mongolian BBQ?

I've only been to BD's Mongolian BBQ once and that was years ago. I do remember for dinner it was $20 a person all you can eat. My husband and I are planning on going out to lunch this weekend and he's never been there so I wanted to go there but I was just curious if the prices are different for lunch? Also is it all you can eat at lunch time as well? Thank You!!
----------

i think their lunch deals are about 3-4 dollars cheaper than dinner, so expect to pay about 12.99 for one bowl, or around 14.99 for unlimited.  (+ info)
