How long does it take for a cancer drug to get through phase III open label trials on average?

It depends . . on if there are other drugs already available that are just as good or better . . than it will take its time establishing efficiacy . . however, if the drug is working better than what is available or if it is working on less common or rare cancers than there is something called 'Fast Track' where the drug becomes a higher priority and will become available to the public much quicker than normal.

How can I go from a normal pap in 2003 and 2005 to CIN III on a biops in 2008?

No change in sexual partners. No change in anything. I'm confused.
----------

in the space of three years a lot can change. it is a big change to go from nothing to CIN III but unfortunately sometimes that happens.

good thing is you got checked and can now get treated.  (+ info)

Would you take your baby to see SAW III?

Okay seriously, hubby and I were at the movie theater the other weekend, watching SAW III (it was great btw!), and as we were exiting, I saw this lady carrying a baby in a carrier. I was shocked - I mean of all movies to take a kid to - SAW III. Hubby laughed at me and said 'hey that's the best age, they won't remember anything'. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I can't believe someone would bring a baby to that movie. But hubby says I'm over reacting.
----------

Right now, I wouldn't take my baby to ANY movie - she barely sits still enough for the episode of Blue's Clues, and that is 1/2 hour long!!

I do question the parents' judgement on taking a child to a movie like that, but your husband is right - the baby will not remember anything from the movie. But imagine if the kid would have woken up and started crying during the movie? I bet there would be a lot of ticket holders rather upset about all of the noise. . .

Are you over reacting? I don't think so. There is a reason they rate the movies R, NC-17, etc. I am thinking that a baby would fall into that 17 and under crowd. . . At least doing the math I know.  (+ info)

Where can I get a good deal (pricewise) on a Littmann Cardiology III?

The medical supplies in my area are expensive.

Was hoping if anyone knew of a good on-line med supplier (and discount codes).
----------

Medicine is not my 'field' but I've bought many interesting things that don't exist in my area from ebay.
www.ebay.com and there are also other stores of ebay (in Germany f.ex.).
I hope you know that.
I bought my laptop from ebay and many furniture, they are OK...
I can't think of something else.  (+ info)

how long does it take for CIN III (pre cancerous cells on cervix) to turn into cancer without treatment?

without getting a leep or hysterectomy, etc. how long does it take before it gets to the next stage?
----------

If it is due to HPV it can and very often does regress on its own and therefore may never progress to cancer. It may also remain the same for long periods of time. There is no way to determine when or if it will progress to cancer.  (+ info)

Sinus issues related to TMJ and Class III Malocclusion?

I have been having chronic sinus issues lately, along with headaches and tooth pain. I've been told I needed surgery to correct my bite, but it just hasn't happened yet. Do sinus problems arise from TMJ and mis-aligned bites?
----------

I was having everything from headaches, sinus problems, ear infections and vision problems. All this due to having a bad bite. I've been wearing braces since March and elastics (rubber bands) for the past 4 months. I've been symptom free for months now and it's been wonderful!! Can't believe the dentist has not suggested this for you. It's cheaper and easier then having the jaw surgery, that's my opinion!!

Hope this information helps and GOOD LUCK with whatever treatment you choose!!  (+ info)
