could i replace the pineapples with Granny Smith's apple in this recipe?

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pineapple-Upside-Down-Cake-VII/Detail.aspx

a good friend of mine's birthday is coming up and i thought it would be nice to make a caramel apple cake (she loves Granny Smith's apples). i'm not much of a baker, but this recipe seems simple enough.
----------

No problem at all. I have done it before. I do pre brown the apples in the caramel before putting it on the bottom of the pan  (+ info)

I needed some informations regarding Kidney Transplantation and experience thereafter. Can anyone help me?

My queries are:

(i) How much is it safe to undergo transplantation esp. for womens?
(ii) Is it true that there is a chance of rejection of the adopted kidney? Is that risky?
(iii) What precautions one needed to adopt after transplantations and how long do you need to be under strict restrictions? What are the kind of restrictions?
(iv)Is it true that one can never lead a normal life after transplantation and needed to follow hyper hygenic life ever after unlike nomal people?
(v) Does one need to ne under medicine throughout Life even after Transplantation? Are those medicines very expensive?
(vi) Does life really changes after transplantation? How much and how long?
(vii) When is it right to assume that the operation has been sucessful as I have heard that ppl may die even 2/3 years after the transplantation operation due to unsucessful operation,is that true?

Have a Blessed week.
----------

Yes the recipient can reject the organ as with any transplant. This is why they do not remove the old kidney , they leave it in place incase the new kidney must be removed. With any transplanted organ the recipient is given meds to help prevent their body's immune system from attacking the new organ. There is significant risk for any transplant but then they are only done when the risk of not transplanting means death . The only increased risk to women would be the same as if they needed a transplant and did not get one.... if they get pregnant the added strain on the kidneys could cause them to go into kidney failure. Yes people sometimes reject the organ years after the transplant. I was a nursing student for over a year and we had a patient who had a successful transplant 5 years earlier but for some reason his body suddenly rejected the organ and his immune system was attacking it. These are good questions that anyone considering the procedure would be told about by their doctor.  (+ info)

Where should I get this tattoo?

I want to get my daughter's birth date done (VII XXIV MMVII), but I'm unsure of where to get it. Working in a hospital puts some limits on where I can have it...it has to be able to be hidden by scrubs, so no neck, arms, wrists, hands, face. I'm just undecided and my husband is no help. I could use some input. Where would you get it?
I do want it somewhere I would be able to put another one...for a second child.
----------

My suggestion would be your back, because if you put it around your hips or stomach(since you're planning on having a second kid) it could mess up the tattoo. So the back seems like the safest place, maybe the shoulder blades since there is two? You could always get the tattoos done after you're done having kids and get it on your hipbones.  (+ info)

Teens who is ur favorite Egyptian queen?

Cleopatra vii, Nefertiti, Hatshepsut, Arsinoe? why? mine is well, all of them.

Cleopatra- well everyone knows her story.
Nefertiti - known as the woman Pharaoh.
Hatshepsut- built many monuments in upper and lower Egypt.
Arsinoe- Cleopatra's younger sister, was queen for a short amount of time.
well their all my favorites except Arisnoe. since she was just murdered by Cleopatra and died in her teen yrs before she could do anything great.
*Arsinoe
sry typo.
----------

I really like Nefertiti. She seems like a grab the bull by the horns kind of woman, and a great ruler too.

Also, my father is really into Egyptian stuff. His favourite queen is Nefertiti as well. He even made a painting of her statue that's in our living room right now.

I'm planning on seeing the Egyptian exhibit at the museum near where I live soon. It's about King Tutankhamun, and I can't wait! :)  (+ info)
