Can my fiance and I take our 3 year old daughter to see saw VI with us?

We want to go see saw VI tonight its the only night we will be able to. Our daughter has seen all 5 other saw movies and they don't scare her do u think we can take her with us to go see it tonight?
----------

I would highly recommend NOT taking her with you. Especially ifyou and you and your fiance havent even seen it yet. I have 3 and 4 year old stepsons so i know the feeling of wanting to get out a bit. but it would be best to have someone watch her, grandma, auntie, someone. that way you can make a evening of it. I don't let my kids watch movies unless i watch them first. that way there are no surprises and i know when to tell them to look away. There are alot of good movies that have just a few scenes they shouldn't see, but those movies are full mentally scarring images that could potentially leave wounds that wont show up until they get older. I have a mental disorder that didnt surface til i was 12, cause by something steming from my childhood. dont know if that helps at all..  (+ info)

How can i make my friends look like Na'vi from Avatar?

I am doing an art project and I want to dress my friends up like Na'vi from Avatar but i'm not sure how i will do it. I was thinking using body paint, but i don't know how to do that. Can anyone give me some advise on how to apply the body paint and where i can get some for pretty cheap?
----------

You could get her to wear yellow color contacts and apply blue body paint with a sponge. You could get it at a costume store. You could get a black wig with lots of little braids and add beads to the bottom of each braid and make the head dress thing out of any material by just cutting it out. When you paint her skin dont forget all of the darker stripes and little details. remember their nose has a darker color underneath and little things like that. Make sure to cover her eyebrows as well you can do this with white glue and put the paint over top or u can use spirit gum, both work well. Maybe find some elf ears at a costume store and paint them blue?  (+ info)

What happens if formula with iron and Tri-vi-sol is given to an infant?

I HAVE A 26 DAY OLD BABY AND I GIVE HIM TRI-VI-SOL (WHICH IS VITAMIN A,D, AND C SUPPLEMENT FOR INFANTS) BECAUSE I AM BREASTFEEDING, BUT NOW I AM GOING TO FORMULA FEED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I GIVE HIM FORMULA AND TRI-VI-SOL?
----------

Nothing would really "happen" to him but they are not necessary to give him whether breastfeeding or on formula unless there is a specific reason why his doctor wants you to. Vitamins A and C pass through breastmilk and Vitamin D can be made by your body with as little as 30min a week of outside time. All of the vitamins are found in formula. If you're worried about it, give the doctor a call.   (+ info)

A doctor will give you an antibiotic to treat a bacterial infection, but you are given a vaccine to keep a vi?

A doctor will give you an antibiotic to treat a bacterial infection, but you are given a vaccine to keep a virus (and some bacteria) from making you ill. What is the difference between these approaches?
----------

Did your pediatrician advise you to give your baby Poly-Vi-Sol with iron vitamin drops once a day?

I breastfeed my baby and take prenatal vitamins still. Are the vitamins I take for lactating women enough for my baby to not have to take the drops of poly-vi-sol?
----------

My pediatrician also prescribed vitamins. Early on I gave them to her and then quit after a month once I did research. I'm glad, that stuff smelled and stained.

Then at her 6 month check up they asked if we were giving vitamins. I said no, he wrote a script for them, and I just went along with it "She needs the vitamin D"

BS, when they show me the lab work to prove her levels are low, then i'll give the vitamins.

http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/vitamins/vitamins.html

"Vitamin and mineral supplements are not necessary for the average healthy, full-term breastfed baby during the first year. Breastmilk is all that your baby needs for at least the first six months of life. Studies have shown that vitamins, fluoride, iron, water, juice, formula and solid foods are rarely beneficial to healthy breastfed babies during the first six months, and some can even be harmful. There are certain cases where a vitamin supplement may be needed for a breastfed baby during the first year, but these cases are the exception, not the rule (see below for specifics). "

**Let me add, I did take iron supplements and prenatals regularly but recently stopped. I ran out of both prescriptions and haven';t talked to the doc yet to refill. I think as long as you take your prenatals you'll be fine.  (+ info)

What does VI stand for in diamond clarity?

What does VI stand for in diamond clarity? How is that compared to the standard grading IF, VVS, etc...
----------

Do you mean VS1? There is no VI... unless they have created a new grade... "very included"... haha... which maybe they should.

The scale is as follows:
- FL (flawless) - no flaws at all
- IF (internally flawless) - no internal flaws, barely visible blemishes on surface
- VVS1 (very very slightly included) - very difficult to see inclusions even under 10x magnification
- VVS2 (very very slightly included) - a little lower than VVS1
- VS1 (very slightly included) - inclusions not typically visible to untrained eye
- VS2 (very slightly included) - a little lower than VS1
- SI1 (slightly included) - inclusions are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible to the untrained eye
- SI2 (slightly included) - a little lower than SI1
- I1 (included) - often visible inclusions
- I2 (included) - easily visible inclusions
- I3 (included) - extremely visible inclusions  (+ info)
