skin?.....?

Okay i have really oilly skin and tend to have breakouts often. Somedays my face is just gorgeous and other days it's really embarassing does anyone have any suggestions on what may help? Im just so tired of breaking out. All suggestions welcome
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
----------

I know what you mean. Usually my face is super clear but occassionally I'll break out and want to die. I also have oily skin. The biggest thing is make sure you wash your face every morning and night.

But here is my secret trick...

When your skin is clear (it will irritate your skin if you have a breakout), gently rub sugar mixed with a little water all over your face in a circular motion. Then rinse it off. Not only will this make your skin smooth, soft, and glowing, it gets rid of dead skin that clogs your pores. I read this in a magazine and tried it and I've noticed a huge improvement in how often I break out.

Good luck!  (+ info)

Skin.......?

I need a kind of cleaner that doesn't dry out my skin because my skin is dry and all of the ones that I try just make it worse. Does anyone know what kind of skin cleaner to use? Or any kind of product that will make so that my skin isn't as dry?

I pick best answer. lol
Could you also tell me where I could get some of this stuff. lol
----------

Okay, well, first of all, you need to realize that most cleansers on the market today are extremely drying. Many people don’t understand that a cleanser that dries out your skin will NOT help with their acne, so you're ahead of the game by understanding that your previous cleansers have not been right for you!

There are several that are recommended by skin care specialists. Some non-drying, non-irritating cleansers are: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Dove Sensitive Essentials Fragrance Free Foaming Cleanser, Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser ($7.99 for 8 ounces), or Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Cleanser (which you can get a $0.50 sample of at www.paulaschoice.com).

To be fair, though, it’s possible your cleanser isn’t the problem. Besides a gentle cleanser like the ones listed above, you also want to make SURE you are wearing sunscreen, because sun damage dries out skin. You need a good moisturizer as well. You want one with antioxidants, but it should not come in a clear jar or bottle, as light compromises these ingredients.

If your skin is still dry, you can also add a small amount of olive oil to your skin, as it contains anti-oxidants.

Incidentally, none of the advice here is “stuff my grandma told me” – this information comes from skin care research journals and books.

(Do NOT use bar soaps, Noxema, or anything else like that... these are going to be drying and irritating.)  (+ info)

What is the connection between malignant neoplasms and crabs?

The more common term for malignant neoplasms, cancer, is Latin for crab, and the word "carcinogen," meaning a cancer-causing agent, comes from the Greek word for crab, "karkinos." What is the connection between these two seemingly unrelated things?
----------

Cancer, both the disease and the astronomical constellation, derive from the Latin cancer or cancrum, meaning crab. The astrological sign, of course, is said to resemble a crab and the disease was so named by the ancient Greek physician Galen (129-200 A.D.) who noted the similarity between a certain type of tumor with a crab as well—the swollen veins around the tumor resembling the legs of a crab.

Old English adopted cancer directly from Latin and used it for a variety of spreading sores and ulcers. This early sense survives in the modern word canker. From c.1000 in a manuscript called Læce Boc (Leech Book), collected in Oswald Cockayne’s Leechdoms, Wortcunning, and Starcraft of Early England, Vol. II, 1865:

Gemeng wið þam dustum, clæm on ðone cancer.
(Mix with the dust, smear on the cancer.)

And from Wyclif’s 2 Timothy, 1382:

The word of hem crepith as a kankir

The word was being applied specifically to the disease we today call cancer by the beginning of the 17th century. From Philemon Holland’s translation of Pliny’s Historie of the World:

Cancer is a swelling or sore comming of melancholy bloud, about which the veins appeare of a blacke or swert colour, spread in manner of a Creifish clees.

The astronomical sense of cancer is from the Latin name for the constellation of the crab. The name was known to the Anglo-Saxons, but only as a Latin name and was not assimilated into English until the Middle English period. It appears in Ælfric’s De Temporibus Anni, written c.993, in a list of the constellations of the Zodiac:

Feorða • Cancer • þæt is Crabba
(Fourth, Cancer, that is the crab.)

The Anglicized name appears c.1391 in Chaucer’s Treatise on the Astrolabe:

In this heved of cancer is the grettist declinacioun northward of the sonne...this signe of cancre is clepid the tropik of Somer.
(At this first point (head) of cancer is the greatest declination northward of the sun…this sign of cancer is named the tropic of summer.)

Does blood really spray out when a appendage is cut off?

I have seen many anime videos as well as movies where this has happened but I don't know if that's just 'Hollywood magic' or an actual affect. I ask only to quench my thirst for knowledge and not actual use as towards animating or filming affects. I would just like to know if this is the actual function of the human body to spray out blood from the part where the appendage was cut off at.
----------

Well any severed arteries could pump blood out a bit as the heart continues beating. It could squirt out but its probably a bit exaggerated in the anime. So technically yeah blood would squirt in rhythm with the heart beat, maybe up to several feet... but it wouldn't spurt for very long as u'd run out of blood pretty quick.  (+ info)

How can i get lighter skin without damaging my skin?

I am mixed and i really hate my skin. Especially the skin on my neck/throat and back. So i wondered how i could change it without spending a fortune and damaging my skin severly. I am not planning on being chalk white or having fair skin. A Dark Olive Skin Tone would be fine and still seem natural. I live in Europe and it's not to sunny here but when it is i usually use sunblocker and avoid going into the sun. I want to be lighter because i like the way it looks. I do think that other people are pretty with dark skin but not me. I do NOT want to lighten my skin because someone has told me or because of celebirties (i actually do have the skin color most black celebirties WANT. It kinda like Rhianna- maybe a little lighter). My mum thinks i have oh so pretty skin but i think it's to dark. I heard that they are diets and stuff????

success in skin lightening does not rely on products alone.. although choosing the right products is essential, there are other things to consider and do to lighten skin effectively..here's a good article to educate you how to achieve it correctly and safely -  (+ info)

What skin care product should I use? I am porcelain skinned and am very sensitive to most cleaners?

I have many under-the-skin pimples (which I believe is because I am not exfoliating propely?) and also blackheads, whiteheads, and sometimes nodules.

It's rough! I tried skinID and that sufficed for a while, but my skin was always red and dry and now it has begun breaking out all over again.

What is a product that is helpful to sensitive skins, exfoliates deeply, and still has a low level of antibacterial/antiacne medicine in it?

What skin-lightening product should I use to lighten my face?

My entire body is paper white but my face has an olive or tannish coloring to it. If I put my hand up to my face, you can see the comparison. I just want my face's skin color to match my body skin color. I'd prefer to use homemade products (I tried lemon juice for a little while but my skin became sensitive to it). So, can anyone recommend any cheap skin-lightening creams or lotions? Or homemade remedies?
