what does it mean when you have epithelial cell abnormality on pap smear?

i recently had a pap smear done and it came back abnormal. Dr gave me my results and on them they tested for HPV and it came back not detected. But on the pap smear part the results say LOW GRADE SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION(LSIL) AND ALSO EPITHELIAL CELL ABNORMALITY. Has anyone had these kind of results before. They also tested for STD's and that came back negative. Does this mean i have cancer and will never be able to concieve? Please any advice will help Is this the reason why my periods are so heavy where I have big clots coming out sometimes. they last about 5 days but first couple of days i have alot of blood clots coming out and not little ones big ones.
----------

same thing 3 times!
you do not have cancer, and you should be able to concieve
you have HPV, thats the abnormal cells and the lesion
the abnormal cells are on your cervix, you have three years to clear it with your body, they usually have you come back for a copolscpy where they take the biopsy, then you usually go back in a few months for another pap
i have had this done like 4 times, im so used to it by now, i have not had a regual pap at all they always come back abnormal
its just a routine thing, and the best thing you can do, which my doc told me is to get a womans vitamin.
also try some online searches about it
but your most likely going to have the copolspy then another pap
its ok
nothing to be really worried about  (+ info)

I have glandular fever any suggestions of anything to help me recover?

I have had glandular fever for about 3 months now and was wondering if anyone had any suggestion of how to aid my recovery?
----------

Nothing will really help you recover any quicker, some people are left with malaise and depression for months after the initial illness. It should pass, not much else you can do I'm afraid. Push fluids and eat healthily.

What actual symptoms have you been left with? Sometimes managment can be given for certain symptoms, depending on what they are.  (+ info)

what is good for a weak liver (after glandular fever)?

I recenlty had glandular fever and my doctor ran a blood test last week and i got the results today. He said my liver isn't very good. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any herbal remedies that could strengthen my liver? Something i could take for the next two months, before my next check up.
----------

I wouldn't take anything without your Dr's say so if your liver isn't too good....It could do more harm than good. Eating healthily and avoiding alcohol would be a good start :)  (+ info)

How do you contract glandular fever?

Saliva. Someone may have coughed on him or coughed on a surface that he came into contact with, he may have drank from somebody's cup or bottle.  (+ info)

is it possible to have glandular fever at mumps at the same time?

i went to the doctors on Monday and they said they're not sure so they took a blood test .
on Tuesday i had a dentist appointment and he said the reason for the swelling on my face was due to my wisdom teeth and he gave me a prescription for some antibiotics.
on Thursday i was very sick so i went to the hospital and they diagnosed me with mumps .
then on Friday the doctor phoned with the blood test results and said i have glandular fever!

is it possible to have all 3 !

Got glandular fever; how long should I wait to kiss my bf?

I got glandular fever and don't want my boyfriend to get it too. How long should I wait, till I can kiss him again?
----------

Sucks doesn't it? I know how you feel. You should wait until it is completely gone to kiss your boyfriend, otherwise you risk spreading it, and back and forth it goes. Just wait until it is completely gone before you kiss him. By the way, be prepared that it may take up to 2 weeks to get rid of, but dont risk it.  (+ info)

Can you spread Glandular Fever just after being infected from it?

According to http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/...
The symptoms of Glandular Fever usually develop four to six weeks after infection with the virus.

My question is: During the days and weeks just after getting infected(and not knowing it yet of course), can you spread the infection to others?? even though you don't have the symptoms of it and all..

Cause I know you its contagious but was wondering if this was the case for the time period of <4 weeks just after being infected.
----------

I'm pretty sure it is. My boyfriend came down with GF, and about 2 weeks later I came down with it. According to the 4-6 week gestation thing, I'd have picked up the virus before he was symptomatic.

From the viruses standpoint that makes sense, not many people feel like doing anything that'd spread the virus while they've got the symptoms, lol.  (+ info)

How long after getting Mono/Glandular Fever can you drink alcohol?

I found out last Monday that I had Mono/Glandular Fever for the second time 6 weeks ago.
I went out with my friends and drunk alcohol (6 standard drinks ish) about a month after I had it.

Is it possible I've done any damage? And how much longer should I not drink for?
Thanks
----------

there is likely no damage at all, this is because as the body adapts to the glandular fever, the alcohol is being adapted to also, allowing the body to adjust to both at the same time. it would be a different story if you had been having severe symptoms and you started drinking to alleviate the symptoms, but you didn't do that so you should be fine, just avoid drinking from now on while you still have the glandular fever.  (+ info)

I read somewhere that glandular fever can cause infertility in males, can it also be true of females?

I am a female and i had glandular fever when i was about 15 years old, i am now 22. I was told that it could be possible that the glandular fever i had at that age may have caused me to become infertile. Has anyone else heard of this?
----------

You may be getting confused with mumps, which is an infection of the salivary glands in the mouth. a bout of mumps during their teenage years can cause fertility problems later for men. It doesn't affect women in this way.  (+ info)

Can you pass on glandular fever after recovering?

I know that once you get glandular fever, it stays in your body. If you caught it and recovered from it, for now. Like you don't feel sick any more, can you still pass it throug kissing? Can you pretty much never kiss again??
