Has anyone else experienced or heard of Brachial Neuritis (Parsonage Turner Syndrome)?

I have been diagonsed with this and was told by the neurlogist that it was common in the 80's for people to present with this after getting a flu shot. I had never heard of it and I have been getting flu shots for years!! I am/was such a beliver in them that I even got them for my three children. I certainly will be thinking twice before I do next year!!!!

Brachial plexopathy is pain, decreased movement, or decreased sensation in the arm and shoulder due to a nerve problem.
Another disorder affecting brachial plexus is thoracic outlet syndrome.
Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) consists of a group of distinct disorders involving compression at the superior thoracic outlet that affect the brachial plexus (nerves that pass into the arms from the neck), and/or the subclavian artery and vein (blood vessels that pass between the chest and upper extremity).  (+ info)

----------

I've been having chiropractic for it for two weeks now. At first it got a lot better, but then came back again, but not as bad as before. Now I don't need to take painkillers all the time. Chiropacto said it was due to a nerve trapped in spine. Says I will need about ten treatments. So far I have had three, so it may improve some more.  (+ info)
