I have had restless leg syndrome for about 3 years now, its gotten a little better.. at least I have more control of it. but recently my arms have started doing the same thing, especially my right. ITS SO ANNOYING! I can never keep still, I cant sleep, I cant get comfortable.. Im at my wits end here. I am just out of ideas. any advise as to how to calm my tingling urge to move my entire body would be greatly appreciated!
I had bad restless leg until I was diagnosed with celiac disease. My RLS was caused by malnutrition due to malabsorption due to celiac disease. I had other weird symptoms, but no abdominal ones (e.g. migraine, stomach aches, but not the big D, RLS, fibrocystic breasts, miscarriages, lactose intolerance).So if you have lactose intolerance and RLS, you need to be tested for celiac.
Before I was diagnosed here is what I did to help calm it down:
1. Calcium with D +K + iron supplements
2. 40 min of exercise every day
3. HOT soaking baths for 20 min every night (to relax muscles)
4. Vitamin B and Niacin supplements
5. Yoga or TaiChi every other day
6. Dog sleeping on feet to help relax them.

II know that sounds like a lot, but I was miserable and needed sleep, and it seemed to help. None of those will do you any harm, so you might as well try them. If you don't have a dog, try a heavy pillow to see if the counter pressure will help (works the same as a bandaid on a cut, lol!)

examples could be like anecephaly and harlequin syndrome. really strange and odd cases.
