My mom uses fingernail polish (clear) after tying a regular square knot. I'm not sure if she uses waxed cotton cord, however, but it might work for that as well. (

My DH and I decided to bank our baby's cord blood. Even though he is not due until December we registered ahead with CBR. They recommend you register in your second trimester, to avoid any delays. We did a lot of research on cord blood banking and on the companies that do it. You have to think when you choose a company about their finical stability. You do not want to pay all this money and your company, goes bankrupt. Also another thing to think about is where do they store it? You should think about natural disasters, what if's should be considered. CBR stores theirs in Arizona, where as most companies store theirs on the east coast. Then you need to consider the technique they use to collect it. What if you need to use some of it, will it all be used or will some still be accessible. With CBR it will. Some companies store them in tubes, some in vacuum sealed bags. Last thing I think even one should consider is the accessibly to your specimen should you need it, after all that is why you stored it, right?

When I was pregnant with my first child, I had a two vessel cord. I just found out that I am pregnant again and I was wondering if anyone knew the odds of this repeating. Thankfully, my first child is perfectly healthy, but I know that having a two vessel cord can be harmful to your baby.

Wasn't that so scary, I didn't find out till my baby was born that he had a two vessel cord and thankfully he was healthy also, I wonder what causes this to happen I know that I had a low lying placenta with this baby also. I don't know the odds but I wish you all the luck. (

What does it mean if my head hurts really bad along with my spinal cord and lungs?
For the past night I have not been able to sleep, and it feels like something is moving in my brain/head. My lungs ache, my spinal cord aches, and I feel really dizzy. I have not been throwing up, but I have had diahrrea and I feel really weak. Is this worms? Brain tumor? Please help!

It could be a chest infection because diarrhea and headache sound like flu like symptoms so if it hurts around your chest then that probably means that it's a chest infection. You need to go and see your doctor soon before it gets worse. Don't worry or panic because that will make things things worse and it can be treated easily any way. Hope everything's ok.
