I have metastatic osteosarcoma. My bones ache.

I take a lot of medications including pain medications like fentanyl in the form of a skin patch.

I am looking for any additional natural pain remedies you can suggest.

One natural remedy that might be of help with some of the pain is accupuncture. Another that you could try is a TENS unit.

A TENS unit works by sending signals to the brain to try and block the signal that says you hurt from getting to the brain.  (+ info)

Hello, im a 19 year old male with osteosarcoma in my knee

After my second round of chemo using cisplatin and doxorubicin i now have constant ringing in my ears. Any experiances or advice?

i have constant ringing in my ears since a tyre exploded next to my ears 2 years ago
they have not stopped ringing !
my advice : ear plugs at night can help might sound louder at first but your ears adjust
ginko biloba herbal tablets help they are for ringing ears or tinititus
the ringing you experiance is from the medication so i dont think its permanant like mine

eat healthy too make sure you eat garlic and onions everyday they will detox your body !  (+ info)

im 14 and i have osteosarcoma. im a very strong person but this is so painful. i try to live a normal life with my friends and they visit me when im in and out of hospital a lot but i seemed to be getting depressed a little. i don't like talking to my friends or family about my cancer. sometimes the pain is so untolerable im just break down and cry. does that show weakness? and also any advice of how to get through this?
strength comes in many ways.... Crying is probably yours, It's definitely not a weakness by no means. If your getting depressed you should talk to your Oncologist about this he can put you in touch with many support groups. Or he may choose to give you some medications to help you cope. Talking with your Family and friends will probably make you feel ALot better what ever you do talk to someone. you may also want to let your Dr. know about how much the pain has increased. He can help you. Most of all Pray. My prayers go out to you..

Osteogenic Sarcoma vs Osteosarcoma?

Are these the same bone cancer or is it different.

When I was diagnosed in 1992 the charts said Osteogenic Sarcoma. But then osteosarcoma started being used instead. Is it the same thing or different?

I think that my dog has Osteosarcoma, how do i know for sure?

-he is a 12 year old golden retriver
-he has a large firm mass of something a couple of inches away from his front right shoulder blade
-he doesn't seem to have any bone pain
-he has arthritis


we haven't taken him to the vet yet, we can't get in for another month...he has had the "lump" forever and the vet said not to worry about it unless it grows....it has tripled if not quadrupled in the last 4 years...I'm really worried..please help!!!!!
I would call around to see if any other vet can get you in sooner. Osteosarc is common in goldens. They can get a pretty good idea of what is going on with radiographs.  (+ info)
