I have recently been circumcised and my penile head is very sensitive, almost painful to touch. What can I do?

I was circumcised 2 days ago and my penile head is exposed. It is extremely swollen and I can't touch it, wear boxers/briefs or even rub it against something without it feeling almost painful because of its extreme sensitivity.

What can I do?
----------

You had this same sensitivity before -- you just didn't notice because your foreskin was stopping it from rubbing against your clothing.

Anyways, since the glans is now exposed it's hyper-sensitive. The glans will keranitize over time, dulling the sensitivity.

The swelling should heal soon. If it doesn't, contact the doctor who circumcised you. He should have provided you with information on after-care.

By the way, you might want to ask this again in Men's Health.  (+ info)

Can not cleaning under your foreskin assure penile cancer?

I am 14 and have a build up of smegma under my foreskin and can't pull it back, therefor I cannot clean it. Earlier I read online that smegma can cause penile cancer and I haven't cleaned it in 14 years, PLEASE HELP!
----------

1) No, no cancer. A foreskin cleaning problem won't cause penile cancer any more than chapped lips causes lung cancer.

2) What happened is just that your penis grew thicker around than the front of your foreskin knew it would need to stretch.

A doctor will take one look and say how you should do a kind of stretching-loosening thing (hard to explain in writing, and anyway he'll need to show you because it varies from person to person- and it won't hurt). It'll take about 2-3 weeks to get things to loosen up completely. Then your foreskin will slide back and forth whenever you want. At first just when flaccid, and then also when erect... awake, or asleep, woohoo!

(There's a few kinds of skin creams he might give you to use for a while- nothing special. Not made of tabasco sauce or anything.)

If he suggests circumcision, say no: the creams and stretching are cheap and painless and there's no potential for "OOPS!"es and there's always do-overs with a different cream and stretching approach and stuff-- But circumcision puts STITCHES on your DICK- and it costs $$, and at 14, it /could/ leave a pretty drastic scar and other "minor" complications, and there's no do-overs there!

Go see the doctor this week and it'll all be cleared up by this time next month!

(And: if you're shy about showing the doctor your penis, don't be. Don't be shy about /anything/ with doctors. They've seen it all. You're probably the tenth penis they've seen just so far today. Unless you have fire and lasers coming out of your penis, the minute you're out the door and he's jotted his notes, he'll forget it all, and is off to the next patient.)  (+ info)

How long after a penile swab does it take for the burning to go away?

I had myself tested for STI's (std's) yesterday, and it still burns when I urinate; enough to make me want to scream at the top of my lungs. Is this normal? How long does this effect typically last? I'm terrified of the pain every time I need to go to the washroom!!

(Prior to the penile swab, I had no burning sensations what-so-ever while peeing.)

How safe is the correction of penile curvature?

My husband has been diagnosed with the condition called penile curvature (extreme case), but not peyroniese disease. He's gotten several opinions that leads him to self-doubt that any procedure or treatment will work. For over 18 years, we've only been able to perform in one position because of his curvature. And, his curvature causes me female problems if we engage in entercourse for hours at a time or sometimes two or three consecutive days. Our marriage is greatly affected by this condition. He wants help, but fearful of the outcome (impotence). My OBGYN has spoken with him and me and given referrals to specialists he thought could help. I've even written to Oprah (no response yet). He's even considered going over-seas for the best surgical procedure. He has a banana-shaped curvature (upwards), painful for me if prolonged and uncomfortable. Prescribed cream has been tried as well as the pump tube. He was told he may lose 2in. And is just desperately searching for cure.
Any other position is impossible. His curvature is more extreme than that of a banana, the tip is more bent over touching his tummy when fully erect. Hard to pull away just to insert. The curvature does not give once inserted, from behind is impossible. His is almost that of a fish hook. Many may laugh, but it affects my marriage greatly and it took much out of me to ask the question...MUCH as I too am hoping for cures that may be out there. We've gone through every website and several urologists for help. All who recommend surgery. I guess my question is, who can refer us to the best if known or has experienced such.
Concerns are for our marriage in general, which is really no threat to it, but the love life (sex). His concerns are more for me as doctors have spoken of causing greater problems for my wound (female organs-possible hysterctomy) if not corrected. He feels no pain, just slightly bruising on sides of penis because of intense rubbing when penetrating. Only caused depression in him after he accepted there was a problem. Doctors have spoken of counseling needed for him. Curvature worsened over the years. We had no idea it would come to this.
----------

im not sure how to correct the problem, usually the way a penis is shaped depends on a number of internal issues, but there are a number of sites that give examples of sex positions that might be able to help your love life, a number of rear entry positions look like his problem would actually be easier to work with than with a "normal" shaped penis.  (+ info)

Did stroide cream work for infants penile adhesion?

My son is 3 weeks and was circumcised at birth. As of friday the skin went back up and got stuck. We went to the dr today and he said it is penile adhesion and gave me stroide cream. Did this work for anyone? How long did it take?

Please no comments about me circumcising my son. Its done and there is nothing I can do about it now.
----------

Good thing cut up penises are soooo much easier to take care of huh? It is obvious your son's body is trying to heal itself. Do some real research this time and save your son any more pain.  (+ info)

Do penile enlargement pills really work? Can anyone give me a testimony?

I need a penile enlargement, but I dont know whether it works, and i dont know where i will be able to get them from, or, does anyone know the pharmacological name of the drugs used?
----------

the drug really only opens the capilarries in the penis to allow more blood to flow at all times. the pills only increase the relative size while the member is not erect. when erect, the penis is exactly the same size as before. rmember, size only really matters when erect.

as for stopping the drug, there are some side effects. the capilaries shrink and in some cases close completely, causing tissue damage. my advise is to not worry about it.  (+ info)
