What is the syndrome called when you cannot feel physical pain?
I remember watching a show a long time ago, and this one little girl was born with a syndrome where she could never feel pain. If she fell on the floor and cut her knee, she wouldn't cry, whereas most children would.
What is this called? Is it a syndrome? Is it a medical condition? I just want to know what it's called, and I can do the research on it.
It is for a story I am writing but I don't entirely know what it is.

My sister is 18 and just moved out here from MN to go to school. She has had many medical problems and been to several doctors. Toe goes numb blue and black in cold what to make it stop?
So in the cold winter my pinky toe goes numb, then turns a bluey black and it's extremely uncomfortable. I went to the doctor, and she said is was probably Raynauds(?) Syndrome. She didn't give any other advice but to put lots of socks on. Well that didn't work, so has anyone got ideas for how to 'cure' my toe from becoming blue?

What are the complications if a person has nephrotic syndrome and gets cancer?
My wife has nephrotic syndrome (a kidney disease) and the doctor, due to recent blood test findings, believes she has cancer. Are there any complications that could come from having the syndrome and having to now fight cancer.

This is a dillematic situation - so far that I can say. Kidney cancer is a rare type of cancer. To treat cancer, doctor would suggest chemo/radiation/surgery... depends on the stage.
Does the disease affect both kidneys or only one? All chemo drugs are very strong, I'm afraid cannot be applied to your wife, given that her kidney is the one who has problem.
However, I believe that your doctor will know the best of her condition, hence can determine best treatment (maybe kidney transplantation?). '

What about just the ribbon with the words like in that picture. No need for the colours...everyone will know what it is with the words. You could do fancy writing along the outside of the ribbon, or nice bold writing on the ribbon itself. (

What are the odds to having a down syndrome baby with 2 ultrasound abnormalities?
I went in for my ultrasound at 19 wks and found out the baby has echoing in the heart ventricles and a cyst at base of brain. Individually, they would not be concerned, but because 2 abnormalities are present I need to go in for a level 2 ultrasound. What are my odds for having a down syndrome baby at 30 with these abnormalities being present?

I am 34 and had 2 abnormalities on my son's ultrasound. He had an echogenci foci (white spot on the heart) and a dilated kidney. He is a perfect 3 month old. 2 abnormalities is not unusual at all. Try not to worry. I know that's hard because I've been there. (
