Why does google images only show the most severe/extreme pics of skin diseases?

I am talking mainly about Rosacea and Lupus (the skin rash symptoms). I don't find this particularly useful or helpful in trying to gain a broader insight into these conditions. It doesn't represent the varying degrees of severity of these conditions for which there are many. Does anyone else agree?

I agree, I think they want you to know the worst case scenerio,,but it doesn't help with what you want..  (+ info)

Can Veet cause any cancer or skin diseases?

I used it on a small circle on my leg and it actually worked. Now I read on here that someone said that you can get cancer or diseases from it. I wouldn't think so, though. Is it true?

By the way, does it work for you? I've never shaved or anything and removed some, so I wanna know if when it grows back, will it still remove the hair?

Why they say viral diseases can't be treated while they can?

Sometimes, I show my son to a doctor and the doctor says it is a viral disease (usually flu). But I take the baby to another doctor who gives some antibiotics and he gets healed.

Viruses are dead by definition so how come they are less lethal if you take medicines? A good example is Swine Flu; some medicines work and some don't and if you don't take medicines, your chances of death are greater.

How to explain these paradoxes? Or is medicine a hoax?

What is the difference between bacterial and viral diseases?

Unlike bacteria, viruses are not "living" organisms but capsules of genetic material. They require living hosts — such as people, plants or animals — to multiply. Otherwise, they can't survive. When a virus enters your body, it invades some of your cells and takes over the cell machinery, redirecting it to produce the virus. The virus may eventually kill the host cells. Some viral infections, such as influenza and HIV, are contagious. Others are not.  (+ info)

What are 2 methods for controlling viral diseases?

i'm studying for a test and can't seem to find the answer. and i need something other than vaccinations. please.
----------

Most human viruses are transmitted by body fluids saliva, mucus, respiratory and nasal secretions, blood, breast milk, semen, urine. They are passed on by activities like sneezing, coughing, kissing, shaking hands, and sex. The main mode of transmission will depend on which virus you are referring to. Practicing hygienic methods can help prevent the major viruses.

A few viruses can be controlled using medication but medication is usually specific for the virus you are trying to control. Example:

Hepatitis A - Immune globulins
Hepatitis C - Interferon
Rabies - Immune Globulins
Flu - Tamiflu
Rubella - IgG
HIV - saquinavir
Herpies - Acyclovir  (+ info)

Do public access fingerprint readers carry the risk of spreading skin diseases?

We are all familiar with those high-tech readers that banks and other companies use to limit access to certain areas of the building or record staff arrival times.

But are there dangers lying in wait for those with clean hands, who may use the reader after those who didn't wash their hands for hours or just visited the washroom?

As everyone presses their fingers against the reader's glass window, if there the risk that diseases can spread from one user to the next?
