Snake bites versus one side of lip pierced?

I am turning eighteen later this week, and next week I am going to get my lip pierced. I have wanted my lip pierced for quite a few years, but lately I've been thinking about getting snake bites. I personally think they look awesome, but a few of my friends are really against getting them. I'm trying not to take their opinion into consideration more than my own, but now I am not sure.
So, my question is which do you prefer and why?
Also, if you have snake bites, how have people responded to them?

Okie dokie. My mom hates peircings, other than earings. I'm 13 and I'm dying to get snake bites (two bottom lip peircings) and I've asked her, and she totally flipped and went crazy on me. She got mad. How do I convince her to let me get them? I REALLY want them.

but your mom is saying know for a reason.
its something you will regret when your like 50
and its just a trend and you will have holes under
your lip for the rest of your life.
if you still really want it you can get it when your 18.
and your only 13 its just too young for that type of stuff anyone

most tattoo shops wont tattoo you. your only thirteen
and when /if they do, they ask for I.D, parental I.D, and their signature.

dont let your friends do it, your more likely to get an infection

Will getting snake bites limit my job opportunities?

I really want to get snake bites, but everyone says they'll limit my job opportunities. Does anyone have them and if so have you experienced problems with finding a job and such?
My brother has them, and whenever he goes into interviews, their always like 5 minutes long. I mean if you want to work at like Taco Bell, then yeah I doubt they'll care. But if you want a Professional job, like once you get out of college or whatever...it's going to be pretty hard to get one. My cousin's friend went to college to be a physiologist and nobody would hire her because she had red hair. If you really want them you could just take them out for work, but I don't know how long it takes you skin to heal so they might close up.  (+ info)

Are angel bites and snake bites suposed to be directly on top of eachother?

Or can my angel bites go out farther than my snake bites?

How much would snake bites hurt?

I know the whole "pain tolerance" thing, but I have my cartilage pierced and it didn't hurt, THAT bad. People say that cartilage hurts worse than snake bites. What are possibly some things that I could possibly do to keep my mind off of the needle being jabbed into my lip? If there is any other things that YOU think I should know about them, then please list it. I am not talking about mean comments. But like, a lot of the medical stuff, and cleaning, and healing. I am sure I have read it all, but second opinions and statements are accepted. :D.
Well I do not have snake bites but I have a lip piercing and it did not hurt at all. I have 18 piercings altogether including my eyebrow pierced twice and my nose, and my lip was the least painful. The most pain I felt was later in the day and it just felt like a big bruise.  (+ info)

I’m currently in college and know that one day I’ll have to take out my snake bites and what not. I just gauged them, went from an 18 to a 14, can they still grow back someday?

I really want to get my snake bites. But now I have no clue on how im going to do this with having a job. I work almost everyday. and i cant put bandages over them. can i take them out after the first day and put clear ones in? or is that too early. any suggestions?

Lol snake bites aren't ugly. There sexy. At least most people think so.
every piercing pretty much is just like a quick pinch, it only really hurts for like a second or two. i mean it could be a little sore after but its not bad. tattoos and piercings are completely different. well to me at least. but if you can get a tattoo, then you should be just fine with piercings.  (+ info)
