There are two adrenal glands in your body right by your kidneys that are responsible for producing a hormone in your body. Prednisone is bascially like an artificial form that hormone and is prescribed for different reasons, but it doesn't stimulate the gland.

It really depends on what you were prescribed the prednisone for but usually its just a short course used to "help" the adrenal gland.

When you are on prednisone it is important to taper your dose before getting off of it suddenly - butyour doctor will do that for you. I would not advise stopping it all together without your doctor knowing.  (+ info)

I've had a Bartholin's gland cyst on my libia majora since the birth of my first child 10years ago.I've been trying to concieve another child for about 8 months now and I'm not having any luck...Does anyone know if this Bartholins gland cyst can prevent conception from happening?
Generally, issues with your Bartholin's gland (such as a cyst) will not preclude conception. I'd think your more likely issue would be pain during intercourse.

B - lack an enzyme prevents the semen from liquefying.
C - lacks lubricating mucus.
D - the sperm will be killed by the acidic vaginal secretion
According to the Ehow article I just found, it stated that the Prostate secretes an alkaline like fluid to protect the sperm when inside the female vagina from the acidic secretions in the vagina. What are the symptons of having a swollen gland?

I went to a football game two nights ago and left having a sore throat from screaming. The next morning I knew I would have no voice, but when I woke up, I had a lump right under my jaw. Everyone seems to think it's a swollen gland. What symptons would this cause?
