Odd tooth eruption pattern in my child...?

My son whose six, a month ago lost one of the top two front teeth that took forever to come out. When it did, his permanent adult tooth quickly took its place and within a week it was fully erupted. However it came in slightly crooked. The other front tooth around this time was loose and was wiggled out with no problems. But nothing as yet has even begun to show its presence. So he thus has one very large slightly crooked adult size front tooth and a missing space next to it. Is it normal for a month to go by and no new tooth has replaced it yet.

Yes, the other tooth may have pushed it, but, I would take him ti a dentist to make sure he doesn't need a pallette expander.  (+ info)

Why does the eruption of the first molar (in a 7 yr old) cause swelling under the chin?

My 7 year old is getting his first molar. He is experiencing a large swelling under his chin (directly under the tooth). It is painfull for him.
----------

Unless its getting abcested (check the gums around the tooth for any puss or if the area around his tooth is extremely red)then its probally fine, sometimes when a tooth is having a difficult time coming through it can cause some swelling around the jaw or chin and can be pretty painfull. I would give him some tylenol for the pain as needed.  (+ info)

Eruption of new tooth material on second molar. What is it?

A couple of years ago I noticed a sharp feeling on my gum line on my upper second molar and it eventually erupted - like a triangular extra piece of tooth. It has now grown a few mm more. I recently asked my dentist about it (he has never mentioned it) and he just said it's the shape of my tooth. I told him that it only happened recently, and he just had a confused look on his face and no answers. It's not very bothersome, but it does stick out beyond the rest of my teeth. I'm just wondering if there are any dentists/ knowledgeable people out there who know what this could be. It obviously isn't an impacted tooth as I have had many x-rays and my dentist would surely have noticed.
I have a link to a photo of it, but for some reason I get a 999 error when I try to include it here. Are links not allowed?
Interesting, but this "cusp of Carabelli" is meant to be on the inside of the tooth. Mine is on the outside of my second molar. I guess it's a similar thing though.

Ectopic???

I'm probably getting paranoid but I had ovulation pains a week ago in my left side (and the ewcm) and this week have been having occasional dull aches in my left side . It's too early to take a test as my period isn't due for a week. Is this dull ache the first sign of an ectopic? Anyone who has had an ectopic; did you have this? People who had normal pregnancy; have you had this aches?
Thanks.

Ectopic Pregnancy - Symptoms

An early ectopic pregnancy often feels like a normal pregnancy. A woman with an ectopic pregnancy may experience common signs of early pregnancy, such as:

* A missed menstrual period.
* Tender breasts.
* Fatigue.
* Nausea.
* Increased urination.

As an ectopic pregnancy progresses, however, other symptoms develop, including:

* Abdominal or pelvic pain, usually 6 to 8 weeks after a missed period.4 Pain may get worse with movement or straining. It may occur sharply on one side at first and then spread throughout the pelvic region.
* Vaginal bleeding that may be light or heavy.
* Pain with intercourse or during a pelvic exam.
* Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting (syncope) caused by internal bleeding.
* Signs of shock.
* Shoulder pain caused by bleeding into the abdomen under the diaphragm. The bleeding irritates the diaphragm and is experienced as shoulder pain.

Symptoms of miscarriage often are similar to symptoms experienced in early ectopic pregnancy. For more information, see the topic Miscarriage.

ectopic....?

Isn't shoulder and neck pain a sign of ectopic pregnancy???
----------

Shoulder pain can be one of the signs, but "ectopic pregnancy" wouldn't be my first thought unless you're at high risk for one or have other symptoms.  (+ info)

I have pericornitis due to an impacted partial eruption of a wisdom tooth?

I am getting numbness and tingling in my jaw and cheek and im worried that it may damage the nerves or bone in or near my jaw.My referral to the hospital has been made but the waiting list is months long.What can I do as I am worried it will worsen or even damage to the point the nerves are permanently damaged.will it go away?and can I get it removed sooner if this is happening?thankyou
The tooth has already damaged the next molar and has been quite decayed for a number of years now.Im suprised it has been left for this long.
I live in the UK.
I am currently starting a course of antibiotics.but it still comes back i have had it twice in 6 weeks and i just want it to end as the pain is excruxiating

Contact your local dental society. Almost every state has one. Try to find it in your search engine. Some counties and cities have dental societies too. By phone or their website, they can give you the names to dentists that provide free, low cost and sliding scale services. A local dental school may be on the listing, as well. They would probably charge a fraction of the cost for services. If you can't find your local dental society, contact the American Dental Association.  (+ info)

my son is 6 and a half years old.his milk teeth has fallen off 6months ago when will eruption start?

wondering if 6 months is a longer time
his lower canine have alreadt erupted
----------

hmmmm....normally, , when primary teeth fall off, it only takes 3-4 weeks for new teeth eruption... 6 month without sign of newlyteeth is kinda suspicious

in this case, i suggest you to go visit your personal dentist in case of any posibility problem within your child mouth...  (+ info)

Is there a way I can purchase dental insurance to fix super eruption?

I'm sure it's not possible but I'm asking anyway. I need a crap ton of oral surgery I think due to teeth in the back on top slightly super erupting because of missing teeth on the bottom. Sucks so bad. My fault, I know. Anyway, is there a way I could purchase insurance on my own to help cover this? Any suggestions are super welcome. Thanks.

Anyone has ectopic that start with a mild pain at the side of lower abdomen as early as 5 weeks pregnancy?

When does the unbearable pain of ectopic set in?? Does ectopic always start with mild pain then gets bad as the pregnancy progress?
----------

I believe that in any pregnancy there will be mild pains everywhere in your lower abdomen. I know at 4, 5, & 6 weeks my pains were almost unbearable. I am now 14 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. Don't worry yourself about an ectopic pregnancy until you go to the doctor and have an ultrasound. They are very uncommon.  (+ info)
