what are the side effects of Advair asthma medicine? I have a tremor that is made worse by albuterol?

I'd like to understand the alternatives for people with moderate to severe asthma.
----------

hi.. I take Advair as well.. although I have had no side effects from it at all. I haven't heard of anyone having side effects from it so I'd talk to my Dr if I were you. Have you looked at the information pamphlet that comes with the Advair disk to see what it says there?
I used to take Flovent but I found it was far less effective than the Advair. You could check with the lung association for information on other asthma meds... but talk to you Dr.
Do you do breathing exercises? How 'bout swimming? Swimming is one of the best exercises for asthmatics... it helps to strengthen the lungs.  (+ info)

What causes an involuntary tremor?

My right thumb started shaking uncontrollably about an hour ago. I believe it's an involuntary tremor. It's not as bad now, but it's still annoying. What causes this and how can I get it to stop?
----------

The brain is firing a hormone from the hypothalamus to the muscle in your thumb.

The hormone is very similar to adrenaline but from the posterior not the frontal lobe; Hormone is typically "dopamine"

Most movement disorders follows suite.

If you want a neurologist to look at it they can't do much except treat it with meds (El Dopa sometimes It might be traced from writers cramp dystonia, tremors etc) but A brain surgery called by an implant of the Deep brain stimulator (DBS) to satisfy that nerve synapse or a brain surgery called a "paladodamy" which waves (on a monitor that looks like a television actually) are being set within the Brain to shape these waves that are going from the brain to the muscle where ther nerve is firing incorrecvtly) And lesions are burned within that area where the hormone is firing incorrectly

doctors are advancing in this area now. And i was going to be going into the field on a Psychological repartee. I had to decline because of poor eyesight so I went i the way of working with foster children, And used my psychology degree doing that. The implants are pretty amazing they hook up to a battery pack that is implanted in the chest And they fire for the brain through wires that go from the battery to the hypothhalamus This actually was on an episode of 60 minutes or one of those shows in recency. It is a little more reasonable than the big surgery.espesailly one that is bilateral (You need to remember thee are two hemispheres of the brain). That said it is pretty amazing stuff.

Thanks and have a good day Utley :)  (+ info)

Can I control essential tremor without medication?

I seriously want to be a surgeon. But I've discovered that I have ET. Are there any exercise which can reduce the tremors? I'm 16, and live in Malaysia. The tremors aren't that bad anyway, I can still perform dissections without too many tremors.

I think i have siginifacnt tremor, Can i be an surgeon?

Hallo. i just graduated from Mutah medical school (Jordan) and i am looking for a future career in Orthopaedics or general surgery. The problem is that my hands (especially the left one) shake when i perform simple suturing. My dad has a significant tremor too. . .should i consider a non-surgical speciality or not? help me please. . . .
----------

I cannot believe a) that somebody who says he has graduated from medical school would seek help for his problem in this forum instead with one of his teachers. b) that he would be so innocent as to make us believe that he is suturing with an essential tremor. If you were in my OR you would have been first suspected of operating under influence (drugs or alcohol or both) and kicked out or diagnosed with essential tremor or something worse, and sent to the neurology department.
For Pete's sake man, either this is one big joke (Jordan he? Did you crossed her yet?) or don't they teach Neurology 101 at your school?
If you are going on suturing with shaky hands and as a result of this one of your sutures breaks you could be declared as accessory to unlawful death. So wake up.  (+ info)

What causes tremor like actions when you are have sex? I mean the girls legs start shaking uncontrollably?

If the girls leg shake when you are having sex, then WAY TO GO! Although the exact mechinism is unknown, this tremor commonly happen during, what is called, an orgasm.

An orgasam is a response to The Sexual Response Cycle and Pleasure. Some guys also have these tremors (also known as Involuntary muscle contractions and spasms).

Nevertheless, Orgasm is the point at which all the tension is suddenly released in a series of involuntary and pleasurable muscular contractions that may be felt in the vagina and/or uterus (some women do experience orgasms without contractions). And as a result of the body stiffening and the muscles contracting, Involuntary muscle contractions and spasms may occur in various parts of the body, including your legs, stomach, arms, and back. (see intense orgasms)

Hope this answers your question!  (+ info)
