I have a 1 year old boxer that's been in heat only once, right after her first birthday. She has not mated. Just this past week I noticed what seems to be a wart on her genital area. Is that possible? Can it be something else? I'm clueless. This is the first time I've owned a female dog. Please help, I'm so worried!

What is the percentage of Male and Female Tuberculosis victims a year?

I need to know what either the amount or percentage of Tuberculosis victims for any four consecutive years is. I need a percent for Young Males, Young Females, Adult Males, and Adult Females. For example, 10 Young Males infected, 5 Young Females infected, etc., etc..

When I rub it hard, it bleeds. It feels irritated. I don't dry there after showering. Anything serious to worry about?

When I was little I had a wart down there. It was obviously a genital wart because it was in the genital area, but it was not sexually transmitted. It eventually went away on its own. I also have a birthmark down there too. I would think that a regular mole could show up there as well.  (+ info)

I'm curious of what others think because i realized that men get their penis circumcised almost everyday and still there is no support group for them. Give me your opinions.

All genital cutting of some other persons genitals is wrong. I just do not understand how any other view is justified.

As with male circumcision there are Africa studies that purport to show that HIV risk is lowered. In the case of female circ (FGM) the male to female HIV risk is said to be lowered over 50%. However, note that with male circ, the risk change is actually from like 3.2% risk to 1.8% risk and male circumcision raises the HIV risk to women partners, so if that is what you get from female circ, that is IMHO not worth it. Also with any gender circumcision, I feel studies are used by those pushing it to keep it going. With male circ, the US study found no link between circ and cervical cancer and no higher HPV rate for natural men (only number of partners affected HPV), but people always say circumcision lowers STI risk, I think it is contrived and/or exaggerated

As to hygiene, I think the idea that either circumcision improves this is a myth. The female circ mostly practiced is the cutting of the clitoral hood and the labia. The women and men pushing FGM in Africa say this makes them cleaner, just as people in the States say this about MGM. Certainly, if one showers, there should be no hygiene benefit. to ether male or female circumcision.

ALMOST ALL FGC is clitoral hood and labia cutting NOT cutting out the clitoris.
And yes, much FGM is practiced under conditions that are just as safe as US male circumcision. That does not mean it is great, check out how many US boys get MRSA staph from that. Also, the dirty knife in the bush is not the norm, but boys have that worse. Over 50 boys have already died in S Africa this year from circumcision.  (+ info)

Im just curious? Im sure im going to start a big debate, but i just want to have your opinions and views on why its okay to do this to a baby boy, but not a baby girl?
There is quite a bit of cultural bias with this. In the US female circumcision is often said to be to be done only to lessen sexual pleasure and is done under unsanitary conditions. Like MGM (male circumcision), FGM does always harm sexual pleasure. However, most FGM is the cutting of the labia and clitoral hood (NOT THE CLITORIS) and it is normally done in a hospital setting. Women say the sex is fine, say it is cleaner and they want it done to their daughters. Much male circ in Africa is done in a bush and many many boys die each year. The point is that these practices deprive the owner of the genitals of the full NATURAL capacity for pleasure. The rare form of FGM is certainly worse than MGM. However, male circumcision done here in the US takes away more sexual function and pleasure capacity than female circumcision as it is typically done (e.g., in Malaysia). So they are comparable, if you remove the culture/sex bias.

I am against all cutting of the genitals, certainly against all cutting of the genitals without the consent of the person being cut. I ask that those against FGM also voice their disapproval of MGM. The rest of the world sees the selective treatment as hypocrisy, which it is.

Male and female circ are pushed for the same reasons -- hygiene and looks. Looks is not a reasonable basis, particularly changing the body of another for your ideas of looks. The Hygiene basis is BS. Circ pushers occasionally do studies and try to say there is a health advantage. A Tanzania study said the FGM (labia and clitoral hood cutting) lowered HIV risk to the cut women. This was also claimed for MGM. I think these are both bogus and rely on other factors to change the risk (sexual practices and number of partners and condom use) from about 3.2% risk to 1.8% risk. The theory is that moist places and/or the type of tissue raises HIV risk. In reality STD and HIV studies in 1st world countries do not show this risk change with male circumcision so it is doubtful there is a risk change for female circumcision. With male circumcision it was found that it raises the risk of HIV to the partners of the circumcised men -- this could also be true of female circumcision.

A fact that is certain is that all of these genital cutting practices remove capacity for pleasure of the circumcised. For men the loss is drastic with thousands of fine touch nerve endings cut off. For females the loss is a bit less severe for the most common FGM (labia and clitoral hood removal) and is sexually devastating for the extreme form.

Let the human have the chance to experience their natural body. PLEASE Stop all circumcision of minors.

I see the answers come form people that don't know what they are talking about. The parts that make up tyhe "foreskin" is NOT A FLAP OF SKIN."

The foreskin is not just skin and does not just protect the glans (head). Circumcision is now known to ablate the most sensitive parts of the male genitals. This surgery takes away the main male pleasure zones with about 20000 fine touch and stretch nerve endings amputated. The foreskin has several parts including the ridged band that is great for ones pleasure (that is why nutters like Kellogg wanted to chop em off, to curtail masturbation), Masturbation is important for a mans physical and mental health. The ridged band directly contacts the vagina for very great pleasure all around. The dynamics of sex and the actual mechanism of the penis are drastically changed by circumcision. The foreskin can normally be slipped all the way, or almost all the way, back to the base of the penis, and also slipped forward beyond the glans. This wide range of motion is the mechanism by which the penis and the orgasmic triggers in the foreskin, frenulum, and glans are stimulated. The only touch organ possessing as rich erogenous innervation as the foreskin is the clitoris. Circumcision deprives man of 2/3ds of the main erogenous zone constituted of the foreskin and the glans.
BTW, the other risks (besides loss of sexual function, ED, PE and loss of PLEASURE) include curved or misshapen erection, painful erection, botches of all sorts (many requiring redo) and death. Boys dies each year in the US from this sick practice.  (+ info)
