I have a question about a urine culture. ...........?

This is what it gave me. It didnt say negative or positive.

Final Report
>50,000 COL/ML MIXED UROGENITAL FLORA
----------

This is negative
What it is tell you is that you grew normal bacteria that if found in your genital area.

Anything over 100,000 colonies per ml of a specific organism is considered a Urinary Tract Infection

So nothing to worry about.  (+ info)

Urinalysis Results?

I have a urology appointment in three weeks but I would like to know what my results mean....My GP is not returning my calls. If someone could give me an idea as to what I'm dealing with, I would appreicate it. Thanks.
WBC Esterase-3+ Abnormal
WBC 11-30 Abnormal
Crystals- Abnormal-Amorphous Sediment
Mucus Threads-Present Abnormal
Bacteria-Moderate Abnormal
Mixed Urogenital Flora-10,000-25,000 forming
----------

It looks as though you may have a urinary tract infection. Did the results include Nitrate? Usually if nitrates are positive it indicates a UTI. Based on the presence of urogenital flora the specimen is also contaminated. You may consider giving another specimen. I hope they are also doing a culture along with the urinalysis. My thoughts are not to wait 3 weeks for your appointment. If it truly is a UTI, you should be started on antibiotics sooner rather than later.  (+ info)

Can urinary incontinence be totally cured- IBS?

I am 40 yrs old. Have loose/weak urogenital tissues/skin, chronic stress disorders, IBS etc. Since 1 month have symptoms like dribbling/leakage of urine after voiding, weak stream, feels obstructed, can't hold pressure etc. I do have IBS with bloating/loose morning stool. More worried about urinary symptoms as worsening. My doctor is about to confirm it but says it is IBS & it can only be managed, not cured. Can I totally get rid of these symptoms ( if they are IBS related & if they are prostatitis, weak PC muscles etc) ??. What all things can help me with this or IBS ? After voiding if I press around prostate, it dribbles and also as soon as pressure starts building, it leaks. Can just IBS cause all this ?

Streptococcus: Doctors and Gynocologist only please?

I've been having problems and my Gynecologist had told me I had bacterial vaginosis infection and prescribed me antibiotics twice (this was about 4 months ago). I still have dryness and irritation and also missed a period. No sexual contact in a very long time. I am still worried. I got tested for all STDs and I am clean of them. I looked back on my records of results and found this:
"Moderate Streptococcus, Group B, beta-hemolytic. Normal urogenital flora also present."
Should I be worried about this?
I've been searching around the internet and seen that having a newborn with this, can be fetal.
----------

GBBS or Group B Beta-hemolytic Strep is a common bacteria that many ppl carry. The only reason why it's important is that women who have GBBS in their vagina need to get IV antibiotics at the time of labor to help prevent GBBS related meningitis and other infections of the newborn.  (+ info)

Did this person have a bladder infection?

The autopsy report stated,
UROGENITAL SYSTEM
The right and left kidnesy are 107 and 48 grams respectively. The capsules strip easily, revealing a red granular, pitted surface. The cortex of each kidney has a few cysts that are filled with yellow liq2uid and range in size from 0.3 cm to 0.9 cm. The corticomedullary junction is ill defined. The calyceal and collecting systems are not remarkable. The lumen of the left renal artery is narrowed by atherosclerotic plaque. The right renal artery is unremarkable. The renal veins are not remarkable. The ureters are not dilated or obstructed. The bladder is empty and the mucosa is tan with focal areas of hyperremia. No tumors or ulcerstions are noted.

What does all this mean? Was is abnormal? Could it cause death?

Incontinence and Cystoscopy- Need, Risks, Experiences...Need Help !!?

I am around 40 but have problems like IBS, severed/fragile/weakened urogenital tissues - urethra, penis, pubic region (damaged it due to injury and wrong treatments for yrs.). My penis, scrotum, pubic area skin is unbelievably loose. I also have prostate enlargement. Since last 1 month symptoms of urinary incontinence (dribbling after voiding/pressing scrotum back), can't hold else dribbles etc. I have clearly seen if I wear loose underwear, my organs just hang loose & all symptoms increase. If it leaks, can it smell and annoy people too much (any experiences)?. Will it be good idea to go for cystoscopy with tissues already delicate/damaged ?. I have read that you can develop incontinence after cystoscopy. What are chances for it if your tissues are weak & dislocated. My penis has no girth at root so i also feel obstruction. Can i try something before that to see if my urinary symptoms can be diagnosed without cystoscopy- IBS diet etc ??. Upto what level cystoscopy complicatons are reversible
