Can anyone tell me anything about uterine cancer? How is it bad? What are the treatments for it?

I have noticed that ever since I've been on the pill, my period is lighter. I cramp just as badly, but then my period is very light. Is it because the pill causes less uterine lining to build up, thus causing less to shed?

If not, why is your period lighter on the pill?
Yes, that's right. When you're on the pill, the uterine lining grows less than it would if you weren't taking the pill. With less build up of the uterine lining, the menstrual flow is lighter. In some women the lining does not grow at all, so no period occurs.  (+ info)

Can yearly pap detect possible uterine fibroids?

I had a yearly well woman exam 5 months ago. Would the OB/GYN be able to detect uterine fibroids. I ask because I have had feelings of fullness and growth in the uterus area. I am NOT pregnant so I just don't understand why wouldn't the Doc be able to detect something like this if it was just 3 months ago.

First of all, "he" does not have a cervix, so he has neither cervical cancer nor cervicitis.

Cervicitis just mean your cervix is irritated and inflamed. It could be from anything. It's not really a diagnosis.  (+ info)

Can a uterine infection after a c-section lead to enlarged fallopian tube?

I had a c-section when delivering my daughter and 5 days later I had a 103 degree fever and I was throwing up. When I called my doctor they said I would be fine and I didn't need to go to the office or to the ER. I believe that I had a uterine infection because I bled for 3 months and I now have been diagnosed with an enlarged fallopian tube, could they be related?
Wherever the infection started, it could have very well spread to the tube, causing it to become enlarged. Have you had an HSG to see if your tubes are blocked? If you are TTC again or will be in the future, you should.  (+ info)

My doctor just told me that I have a small uterine fibroid?

I am 35 weeks pregnant and my MD just just told me I have a small uterine fibroid that was seen on my 8 week ultrasound. I was just told now 6 months later that they saw this months ago I'm annoyed. What is this growth? How do they know it is a fibroid and not a cancerous tumor if there was no biopsy? Does anyone know anything about this?
