Has anyone had a successful pregnany with tine uterine lining?

My uterine lining is only 5.8, can I have a successful prenancy.
----------

i am not familiar with uterine lining measurements. i know that if you have a luteal phase deficiency, you will not have sufficient progesterone to make a thick uterine lining. have you discussed this with your ob/gyn? sounds like you would benefit from seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. i'm sorry that i can't be of more assistance. at least you have some information to work with. have faith that if 5.8 is not sufficient that the doctor will provide whatever treatment is necessary to improve the quality of your endomitrium to make it optimum for implanation. have faith  (+ info)

Friend diagnosed with uterine cancer with no health insurance. What should she do?

My friend recently got diagnosed with uterine cancer. She is only 26 years old and does not have health insurance. She cannot afford the diagnostic procedure they want to do to remove the cancer. (D and C?) Is there any program that you know of that can help her? Her daughter is on medical.
----------

most states have emergency catastropic medicaid. she can call her county health department, or talk to the social service department at the hospital in her community. there are a few programs out there. this is another reason to pass universal health care. how awful. im sorry.  (+ info)

Is it dangerous to have a tear in the uterine wall during the first trimester of pregnancy?

My daughter is 11 weeks pregnant and went into her doctor because she was bleeding quite a bit. The doctor did an ultra sound and said she has a tear in her uterine wall. He sent her home on bed rest. I was just wondering if this is dangerous for either her or the baby. Will she be on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy?
----------

He should have told you guys that, or you should have asked. It'll only take a few minutes to make a call to your doctor so if I were you I'd do that. But if she's on bed rest it must be serious. Good luck, I hope everything goes well!  (+ info)

What day of your cycle does your uterine lining begin to shed, if you aren't pregnant?

I am wondering if you do not conceive on what day of your cycle might the uterine lining start to shed (like how many days BEFORE the first day of your period does this process start?) My cycles are pretty regular 28 day cycles. I am TTC, and we did the BD on my fertile days this month - my period should start @ Nov. 9th and I'm wondering if the twinges I just felt could be implantation OR uterine lining shedding....thanks!
----------

The shedding of the lining is your period.
So it's the 28th day of your cycle.  (+ info)

Do you feel good when uterine lining comes out of your vagina?

During my menstrual period, when I feel the uterine lining or a gush of blood coming out, it feels warm and really pleasurable. Friends told me that it is strange that I think so, and I am wondering who else likes the sensation of something warm and soft like this exiting the vagina.
----------

You can feel it?

Perhaps its just you "psychologically" being happy your body and it is doing something natural  (+ info)

Is it normal to have uterine cramps within the first few weeks of starting out on birth control?

I started taking Birth control (MonaNessa) about 2 and a half weeks ago and for the past few days, I've had throbbing, dull cramps in my uterine area. I haven't had any spotting or anything, but I figured maybe it was something common. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
As a side note, my pap smear came up normal and no I don't have any STDs.
----------

Some cramping can be normal when starting the pill. It's a sign of your body getting used to the pill. If it continues after a few months of being on the pill, call your doctor.  (+ info)

What exactly is a "uterine wall expansion" and when does that typically start happenening in pregnancies?

It was on an episode of Days Of Our Lives, Belle is told by a nurse or doctor that what her problem was that the uterine wall expansion was causing cramps and bleeding. Belle is only supposed to be 2 days pregnant and it was none invitro...
----------

Uterine wall expansion is when the uterus is stretching in order to house a growing baby ( making your belly big) it usually doesn't start really expanding until about 8 weeks or around two months and it is painful causing cramps now I don't know about the bleeding but I do know it hurts. Hope this answers your question.  (+ info)

How is it possible in ectopic pregnancy for sperm to contact an egg that doesn't enter the uterine tube?

How is it possible in ectopic pregnancy (on abdominal wall) for sperm to contact an egg which does not enter the uterine tube?
----------

Either the sperm goes out the ends of the tube into the abdominal cavity OR the sperm fertilize the egg in the normal place within the tube and then the fertilized embryo gets expelled back out the tube. This is why we are careful not to do HSGs (tubal dye tests) during days after a woman has already ovulated.  (+ info)

Why is it necessary to remove large uterine fibroid through operation?

My wife was told she has large uterine fibroid(s) and if left unchecked could damage her kidneys as her uterus is expanding. Before that we had hopes that alternative medicines like yoga or herbal medicines might help but to no avail. She has been told complete removal of uterus is the best solution. What are the risks of such an operation and can someone be totally cured this way? What alternatives are there?
----------

Of course someone can be totally cured this way--if there is no uterus left for a fibroid to attach itself to or to grow in, the condition will disappear,. The only downside to this is that she obviously will never be able to have children without a uterus. There is no viable alternative that I know of as a treatment for uterine fibroids, as these can eventually develop into cancer if left untreated, and I'm sure neither one of you wants THAT to happen!! (not to mention the damage that can occur to her kidneys & other internal organs!) PLEASE tell her to go ahead & have the surgery--it will not only save her from incredible future discomfort (read: AGONY!) but may also in the long run save her life!  (+ info)

What does the gestational sac seperation from the uterine wall mean?

I am 7 weeks pregnant today. I was in the emergency room on the 1st and the report said that "There is chronic seperation of the right lateral aspect of the sac. About 40% of the sac is seperated from the uterine wall." The baby has a heart beat of 126 beats/minute.

What exactly does that mean and what, if anything do I need to be doing?
I know I need to go to the doctor....I'm just tyring to get a few answers before my appointment date!

Thanx
----------

I'm not a doctor and certainly not a expert on this, but it sounds to me like the sac is not strongly attached to your uterus. I would recommend taking it very easy until your appointment. If the baby has a heartbeat, that's a good sign, but you don't want any more separation, so lay down!  (+ info)
